SMART DOBERMAN
My last Craftsman 1/2" Drill lasted 5 years and finally gave up the ghost.
This new one is the perfect replacement, works quite well. The 1.5AH battery that came with it is sufficient. I decided to buy two more batteries of 3.5AH 20V for backup.
The price was most competitive, and the package was in its original box. If bought for a Present, the gift receiver would be most pleased. I also added a two year warranty just in case.
I would like to stress how important it is to keep the tool clean and dry. I keep mine in a tool bag inside my house. Thereby, there is very little chance for rust from cold and dampness accumulating, especially in the motor part.
Another point is to put the batteries on the charger even 3 months or so and get them up to max capacity, if the drill is not used regularly.
Lastly, the batteries and charger from the old drill were recycled to a used tool store since the batteries did not fit this drill. Nice to support our community stores..
