5.0 out of 5 stars Should have bought this first

I am incredibly happy with this product.

I had needed to siphon water out of a tank for months. Originally I bought a ball-shaped siphon that needed to be pumped by hand, and that was ridiculous to use.

The siphoning mechanism is very strong and passes through a large volume of water in a short period of time. One of the great things about this is the flexible tube that the water exits from. Its not made of that cheap see-through plastic that comes all kinked from being folded during shipping, that you have to try to heat with a hairdryer in order to be able to pass any water through it.

I’m not sure how long the batteries will last, however, it works so quickly and saves so much time that I don’t care if I have to change them each time.

Used the eneloop D Battery Adapters in this. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JHKSLRI since the included D adapter's were a bit rough to get the batteries in and out.

The pump did great. Pumped 5 gallons very quickly.

1 small issue to let you know about. Don't push it in passed the 1st smooth part of the hose or it will get stuck inside the fill spout by the fill tab. I pushed it in to the second smooth part since I had extra and had to use screwdriver to push the tab out of the way to get hose out.

Made the mistake of purchasing this item twice. The first one worked intermittently for about 3 months. Opted to buy again because it does work well when it decides to run. The second unit worked all of one time. I used fresh D batteries so it wasn’t that.

Used it to transfer fuel, it worked good the first time. I went to use it again and the foot to cover the uptake impeller fell off. I had to move the fuel another way as the cover dropped in right after I put it in the tank. I was able to get it out of the tank, but it would not stay on after that. It says in the add that it is useable for fuel, but it does not seem to hold up after one use. I am looking for another way to transfer my fuel... I had bought 2 one for gas and one for diesel.

I bought this to fuel my dirtbikes without spilling from tipping the can over. It filled my bike without spilling a drop of fuel and took about 20 seconds. It really pumps fluid. The second you shut the switch, it stops and reverses back into the can.
It does use 2 D or 6 AA batteries, not usb chargeable. Has a nice hook to hang it from a nail.
    Highly recommend.

Arthritis in my hands and back made lifting 5 gallon gas cans difficult to fill my mower. This allows me to pump gas without lifting and trying to get the flex spout into gas tank without spilling or overflowing.

Have to say these little transfer pumps are quite nice for what they are. Had mine for little over a year. I only used it to fill my small diesel heater maybe once every 4 days so thats about 6 times a month and about 6 gallons of fuel per month. It did sit for the summer months without use so I did have to free up the impeller to use it again and change batteries. No big deal. I thought I was in good shape with it, but for no reason it conked out tonight when it is 14f out for no reason. Batteries are new but it cant lift the fuel from a can to the heater and they are almost level with each other. I will pull it apart when it's not thanksgiving night. I did go ahead and buy another updated version of this from a different company. It has an auto shut off which can really help. Will let you guys know how it works, but until then if you need a cheap fuel transfer pump I would say its a go for this one.
