So, I popped this SIM card into my phone, and boom, instant connection like we’ve been best friends forever! No weird issues, no drama, just smooth sailing. Calls are clear, data is speedy, and I didn’t have to call tech support once, my favorite part! You are of course gonna have to get a phone plan added to it, but once that’s done, you’re golden. If you want something that just works without any fuss, this SIM card is the way to go.

Unfortunately the only way I could find to carrier unlock a phone was to actually insert a physical SIM card for another carrier. Everyone I know uses the same carrier as me, and the alternative (Verizon in this case) wasn't worth the long drive just to buy/borrow a SIM card when I wasn't actually planning to swap carriers at this time.

So, as a dummy to unlock my old phone, this worked flawlessly. It downloaded the Verizon carrier apps and made the necessary Android OS changes within about a minute including restart time (Galaxy S10 for reference). So I have full confidence it should work for, you know, actually getting Verizon service. I might even hang on to it in case I swap carriers in the future!

I bought a phone that was supposed to be compatible with Verizon. It was not. I didn't open up the package with the SIM chip but the postage to return the Sim chip is about the same as a refund. Not worth the trouble. My understanding is that some phones that aren't compatible may work with a 4G chip. It is a workaround and I'm not sure after well but they wouldn't drop your service. The phone I bought was a dual chip unit and it was completely incompatible with CDMA
