I bought the sim card for emergent China trip, it is very reliable and easy to use. They provide very quick and good service whenever you have questions. They usually reply to the email within 30 minutes which is great. I am continuing using it now for texting purposes.

Easy to use -- Excellent customer service!

I bought this SIM card recently for a trip to China and found it very easy to use. It was delivered quickly, the data worked well, and the customer service was outstanding. I had researched online for a bit before my trip and had seen some bloggers recommend 3G Solutions, so I gave it a shot. My Chinese is limited, so I was glad to find that 3G Solutions had thorough explanations on their website in English and that I could communicate with their customer service in English as well. I needed to be able to access certain Chinese apps and health code trackers from my hotel when I was in quarantine, and this SIM card gave me the ability to do that quickly and conveniently. They responded quickly to help activate my card and answered questions promptly.

A few days before my SIM card was set to expire, customer service reminded me and asked me if I needed to extend. I did not at the time, but several weeks after my card expired, I discovered I needed to get a verification code for an app that was linked to the phone number of the SIM card. Even though my SIM card had expired weeks earlier, customer service allowed me temporary use of the SIM card again so I could get the verification code I needed. This was such a lifesaver! They had no obligation to help me weeks after my SIM card expired, but were kind enough to do so. I appreciate that they went above and beyond for me. Would definitely recommend and buy again if needed in the future!

I got this sim for my Glocalme WiFi hotspot because Glocalme’s cloud sim packages are too expensive for a trip to China. It worked without any problems although you need to wait quite a while for the cell phone network to pick up on the hotspot. To avoid the long start up delay I just leave the hotspot on 24/7. My Astrill VPN didn’t work in China so although I had WiFi it really wasn’t that functional. I reached out to 3Gsolutions over email and they responded to me quickly and pointed me to their VPN service, 60 days for $24. The web activation was simple and I was able to pay using PayPal. Now connecting to my Glocalme hotspot and running VPN on my iPhone works seamlessly. Highly recommend their Sim and VPN for any foreigners traveling to China. One tip, download the VPN app “Outline App” before you come to China because the App Store won’t work over WiFi. I had to do data roaming on my phone to download the app while I was China and pay ATT roaming data at $2 per MB. The outline app is 7 MB so $14 Not cool but price to pay to not need to data roam for the rest of the trip.

I ordered 3 sim cards. I brought 2 google pixel 6 phones & 1 samsung phone. These sim cards worked well on my samusng phone. But I wasn't able to make or receive calls on my google phones. When I reached out to 3g solutions, they told me that it might be caused by internet blocking in China for my google pixel 6 phones might need to sycn data with google's backend server, however, google server is blocked in China. Thanksfully they offered me VPN connection solution for free so that my google phones were able to access google server and issue was fixed.

Everything worked exactly as described. Used in Shanghai for a little over 2 weeks and the service was fast and reliable throughout the entire time.The ease of having a phone with call and data already activated upon arrival was great. No extra time or hassle spent finding a sim upon arrival. The process was easy, just sent an email with photo of passport( as required to purchase SIM card in China)and travel dates. Customer service responded to my email quickly to confirm that the sim would be activated by the date of my arrival and through out my stay.

A SIM card with an excellent combination of data, voice and text!

When I started looking for a sim card for my upcoming trip, I skipped the ones with lot of reviews and picked this one that had no review yet. Here is why:

1. I like the combination of data, voice and text. With the current quarantine requirement in place, having a large data plan will be very helpful from handling business tasks to surfing internet to kill time. Don't expect too much from the wifi at hotel as it will be shared by many customers in quarantine.

2. It came with very clear instructions of activation and use. Once I provided the information as instructed, I received the confirmation of activation by email in 24 hours. Yes, I was asked to provide a copy of passport. In China, it has been implemented for years for a user to have a phone number associated with real name/identity. Be aware before you buy and take it easy when you see this part of the instruction.

3. The seller also provides a web site to extend, or buy more data or voice time if needed. I consider this is a nice option for short-term users who may need the sim card/phone number for more than 30 days.

4. When I was still searching, I believe that I used their sim card for a trip back in 2019 after comparing the names of the sellers and the product descriptions. The name of the seller changed slightly (with a space added), and the product descriptions are presented in a similar way. I had positive experience back then, so I decided to give it a try even if it didn’t have any review yet. After I went through the activation, it turns out that I’m dealing with the same team.

Overall, this is a perfect and reliable solution with great flexibility for people who are going to spend a short trip in China.

Does the SIM card work with any VPN apps?

I had the sim card in February and it worked well. The only issue to me is that it didn’t work with VPN app, such as ExpressVPN. Any suggestions? I may use the SIM card again if it works with VPN.

I tried two different SIM lastly trip.and this is easy to activate and continual support is excellent. I bought all sims from this co.
I also tried their VPN. Connection so far is 99% and still connected right now in China.
