First off, I'm not sure you can tell from the photos, but these were packaged so well that it surprised me. I was wanting something nice to display my children's artwork and I found it!
No, they aren't "fancy"...BUT these frames do not look cheap to me, even though they are of a cheaper material. There is a small, but pretty strong magnet that holds the door closed, and the hinges are sturdy...both of which, look like they'll hold up. Inside is elastic to hold previous masterpieces, and the backing allows you to hang vertically or horizontally.
I'm very happy with purchase and will buy more if the need arises.
