This worked easily on my backup Tracfone as an add on. I update it once a year and it’s usually considerably more.

I have been a Tracfone customer for thirty years. I currently own an unlocked Google Pixel 6 phone which uses Verizon as the service provider. I have been enrolled with the $15 monthly plan for which I already accumulated 6 months of phone and text service. I estimate that this service card without the 365 days is worth the cost just for the data, minutes and text that would have cost me $60. However as I don’t use up the monthly coverage from my monthly plan - this annual card will probably save me over $100 for the 365 days of coverage.
The only qualms I have with the service card is that it’s virtually impossible to remove the gray strip without losing some of the 15 digits required to register this card. I could only identify eight of the numbers. However don’t dispair if that happens to you, as I was able to contact Tracfone service and after speaking with two representatives, they were able to register my phone by using one of the external bar codes from this card.

The reviews for this plan were mixed, with some saying it didn't work with an existing plan and could only be used when activating a new phone. Even the description was misleading and implied that it may not work with an existing plan. After reading several of the reviews, I was 99% sure it would work, so I bought one. The scratch off was a little hard to scratch, but I was able to see all the numbers ok. I opened an online chat and had the rep activate the card and she ensured me that even though I was activating it about 2 weeks early, my remaining minutes/text/data would not be lost and the renewal date would be added onto my original end date. The entire process took about 10 minutes (5 for scratch off and 5 in the chat) and everything went smoothly. One thing she told me, which I didn't know, was after renewing the plan, you need to restart your phone to see the update. I had always noticed the update showed on my laptop way before my it did on my phone, so now I know to restart my phone. Overall, I was extremely pleased and will definitely purchase another card at the same price. By the way, I have a Moto G Pure phone and it worked perfectly.

My wife & I are retired so most of the time she uses her cell phone while at home. To prevent using up minutes while at home switch your phone to use "internet" calls. The one thing that we use more than the talk time or texts is data (accessing the internet from the cell phone while not at home). Normally, the Data costs $10 for 1GB, so with this card, the 3GB of data is a $30 value which means you get the extra year of service with an additional 1200 minutes of cell phone time & 1200 texts for another $30. The message that you get when adding the card time about it removing your previous minutes is misleading, with the 1st card that we added we called to confirm this would not happen.

I was able to use this to activate a new tracfone phone and new account for my elderly father. The process was easy and quick. Use a coin to gently scratch off the PIN number on the back of the card, I didn’t have any issues with that unlike other reviewers.

I would give this a five star rating except for the fact that the scratch off strip is impossible to remove
without destroying the numbers under it. and than when You call to activate it; You better be prepared to spend an hour or so on the phone with a tracfone rep .

Great value for the light TracFone data user. Not the least expensive MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) plan available but if you are a TracFone user this is the best value. As an example for the same $60/yr you can get 6000 minutes, 6000 texts and 6 gigs of data from Red Pocket Mobile. Better than that is the RPM $30/yr plan limited to the T-Mobile network with 1200 minutes, 1200 Texts and 6 gigs of data.
Be careful removing the tape over the code on the back of the card. Renewed existing plan online. This card DOES work for renewals!
