This was an easy way to upgrade the outlets in our home without having to replace the receptacle. Not only does it allow us to plug in our USB devices but gives us more outlets for lamps, TV, media devices, etc. Very handy and seem to provide adequate USB power. Does not provide the high amp charging many cell phones have today but works well with my wireless phone charger.

We looked for a long time for a wall outlet extender that was solid and versatile. This one fits firmly into the receptacle on our wall... no wobble, which we didn't find in other brands. We're using a GFCI receptacle, so we can't fasten this extender with the screw in the middle. But the extender fits so firmly into the receptacle that we won't need the screw to hold it in. We'll buy more of these to put elsewhere in our house. It's a great product and very reasonably priced!

So, this surge protector and power strip has a lot of protection when it comes to surge protection! At the top end of what you will find for general electronics, this one has 1680 joules of protection before it gets fried to save everything thats plugged into it. If you have any high end gaming computers, REALLY expensive electronics, you would purchase an expensive/entire next level surge protector having over 2000 (2K) joules of protection. So this surge protector packs a punch for all regular electronics, regular computer equipment.
The lit up center green button shows that the surge protection is still working and has not been fried by a lightening hit or something. If it does one day get fried, this whole unit will still work as a power strip but would no longer provide the surge protection for the devices plugged into it.
I mounted this charger and plugged in some "hard to plug in" electrical cords and this thing held sturdy! I was impressed at how sturdy it was when I had to really give an extra push or pull to some of my plugs going into or pulling out of it.
Each of the three USB A (same as saying USB) port is 12 Watts. This matches the highest capacity of most USB A cords, so this is good. It also is great that EACH USB A port has this capacity, so plugging in multiple devices into these ports will not create a slow down on the others, which is great!
The one USB C port is 15 Watts but not a fast charging port. So it may take 56 minutes to charge the same as what a fast charger would take 34 minutes, as an accurate example. I am fine with that.. But good to be aware that this will not charge as fast as a "fast charger" if you have one of those elsewhere in the house. And if you do, you could always plug that fast charger into one of the traditional outlets on this power strip and achieve your fast charging effect that way!
The traditional electrical ports are well spaced and VERY handy.
The price is GREAT! A GREAT bargain!

This is the third "Surge Protector and Outlets" brick over outlet product I've purchased. This one is ok and fit my application. Seems well built, anchors well to the socket with the included screw, and the threading is a US standard 6-32 threading.

Similar units I had in the past had a recessed screw which required a precision screwdriver to fit in the hole... this unit doesn't have that problem... the screw is long and it doesn't recess deep at all. Very quick and easy installation.

Pros:
- 5 AC outlets with surge protector
- some low-power 5v outlets
- 6-32 threaded anchor screw... which doesn't recess into a deep hole

Cons:
- Nightlight / Power LED would be nice.
- Top of the unit is SLANTED and can NOT be used as a shelf (ie for when charging your phone).

There are better units if you want a LED or even a light-sensing nightlight... or even a shelf for holding a gadget while charging with the USB units. Also, the charging isn't a Power Delivery 3.0 or 3.1 protocol. You won't get anything but 5v out of these ports... they're only good for small low-powered devices. There are better options out there if you need a true PD 3.0 or 3.1 GaN charger.

These were soo easy to assemble! They are clean looking the multiple USB ports that hold all different types of cords plus having the side plugs are nice. Would definitely recommend!

This is a great streamlined outlet with several outlets both regular plug and usb. Love that it is a surge protector also. Fits close to wall and is not obtrusive.

Wow! This outlet expander is the best I’ve ever seen. Feels and looks very solidly made as soon as you take it out of the box. Recessed in the back so it fits snug against the wall over a regular two-plug outlet cover. It’s snug even without using the long screw to replace your standard outlet screw. But I loved the chance to fully secure it to the wall (for us, the end of a wooden lower cabinet section in our kitchen). It’s protective of the outlet unit to use the long screw. The outlet holes hold prongs very firmly and straight-no side to side motion. I don’t think we need the surge protector because we have a whole-house version, but it certainly doesn’t hurt to have this added feature (working when it shines green). This product is a deal!!
