Great shovel! This got great reviews and I am glad I purchased it. Using for mulch spreading! Even my husband loves it! Holds a lot of mulch at a time and is strong and helps get the job done quickly! Shorter handle is not a problem.
Love it! Why didn’t they think of this decades ago!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Scoop Shovel ReImagined

Scoop shovels are very useful tools but most have aluminum or steel for their blade which make for a sharp edge that can scrape some surfaces like the wood or composite on decks etc. Care has to be taken when clearing leaves of debris from these surfaces using them. This shovel is made of copolymer polypropylene for the blade, shaft and handle grip. I believe It's a mold formed uni-construction in one piece. It is extremely well made as has been my experience with Bully Tools brand tools in general. It's primary use is for handling food grade materials like grains etc. but it is amazingly useful for handling leaves for example. It can be applied like a regular scoop shovel for taking leaves from a pile and placing them into a yard waste material container like a paper waste bag or a collapsible gardening bag and it also works excellently like a long handled dust pan. I highly recommend it. Blowers are great for wrangling leaves into piles and brooms sweep them up as well, but eventually most people need to lift the leaves into a container or bag. Bending and picking them up with handheld plastic scoop tools works but it is physically a lot of up and down. This scoop shovel is much more efficient, easy on your back and won't damage surfaces.

4.0 out of 5 stars Light, easy to use. Never worry about rust or broken handles again!

Bought this plastic scoop shovel to replace the steel flat shovel I had been using for years to clean up dead pine needles, pine cones and small sticks & twigs along my driveway. This plastic shovel is half again wider, meaning my work gets done that much faster now, plus the 1-piece fully-synthetic construction is much lighter ...and it will never rust. The grip handle on the end is a big help in controlling it during load transfer. After just one afternoon's use I knew I had made the right choice. This shovel should last forever - as long as I don't do anything stupid. Only gripe is that I wish the handle were about 4 - 6" longer so I didn't have to stoop quite as much. (The plastic handle would've had to have been much thicker at that length though, or it would bend like a pool noodle. I suppose if I could have contributed to its initial design, I would have had the shaft fluted full-length, to give it a bit more structural strength, as the shaft does sag some - even at only 42" - when weighted down.) It's not that big of a deal though since I really only use it a couple of times a year, for Spring & Fall clean-up. Besides, its overall smaller size makes it is easier to transport in a wagon or wheelbarrow and store out of the way when not in use. It is reasonably priced too, so my wallet is as happy as my back! :-) 5 STARS

5.0 out of 5 stars I know this shovel Will actually last

Ok so I live in mountains of colorado. We have bought too many shovels from major home stores which last about a month or 2 before inevitably they break with subpar materials. Tired of wasting 35 bucks 3-4 times a year. Decided to stop eating money on crap China products. Costing you more in long term. My first snow fall had used the last crap shovel and it broke at the joint of shovel to the pole- decided to buy this one with no seems and another one we shall call the snow domination- the snow “domination” arrived in a huge box protecting it from anything that could possibly go wrong in shipping. It arrived first and I thought wow they really protected this from getting at all damaged. Well then next day I got the bully- it arrived by itself with no huge box protecting it from anything. Guess what- it can’t break. I do t believe it can- it’s one peice and has no joint’s whatsoever. They didn’t need a huge box to protect it cause it won’t break. I believe them. I can tell the other one has rigid plastic that will crack and break - it may last longer than China ones but already have no confidence in it lasting a year with regular use. The bully will not crack and has no joints to fail. I am going to purchase their longer handle one but this one is already my favorite in terms of build quality and materials. If they ship it without needing anything protective surrounding it - you know these folks are serious about their product. Because they know it wont break! Thank you Bully for making this shovel cause everything else is somehow crap and if it lasts 5 years it’s more than paid for itself by 20 times. It’s not even much more expensive than China crap. Will update after a season with this but I’m super impressed already!

5.0 out of 5 stars Narrower width makes easier to lift.

I like that it is narrower than A regular snow shovel because it makes it easier to lift. Very sturdy. I mounted a second handle halfway down the neck.

I use this shovel for my compost bin and love it. The shovel is light weight, will not rust like my old one and is durable. I bought the green shade and it is lovely. I will also use it for snow pile removal. The handle is short so it will work best to move piles of snow vs clear a driveway.
