A hard copy of the instructions was included, which I always appreciate. The label-maker also comes pre-loaded with labeling tape. The app needed is compatible with both Apple-based and Windows-based cell phones. The interface is intuitive, pretty much what you'd expect.
Overall a solid product that's easy to use, but you have to be cell-phone savvy so might not be for everyone. The one thing I didn't notice or consider until printing out the first label, is this is a MINI label maker, so it's only suited for labeling small items for personal use (e.g. gardening seeds, make-up brushes, spices) and not for larger items and information that needs to be easily readable by anyone.

Once you are ready to print for the first time, you will be prompted to add your accessory (which requires scanning the device’s QR code). Please learn from my experience so you don’t have to contact customer service! The directions say to press the on button twice to print the QR code. Make sure you press and release firmly two times. I double clicked the button a few times but the labeler didn’t print so I reached out to customer service and they sent me a video. Literally I had to press and release, then do it again. I felt so dumb after watching it ???? anyway, great tool. My kids love it too. They are now asking to label everything
