I've been dragging this excellent design around construction sites and our adventures for decades -- and our daughter around school and Japan. They are sturdy and brilliantly designed, with an array of useful pockets and pouches that fit a variety of needs.
This model seems to have addressed the the one flaw that we've dealt with over the years: The mesh water bottle pouch inevitably tears and stretches such that the bottle easily falls out. Happily, this model add a heavy fabric panel that looks like it will withstand normal handling.
With the good comes the not so good: Instead of a separate padded laptop pocket, I am disappointed that this model only has a thin sleeve inside the rear compartment.
