Now for my thoughts... they are packaged in a box that's very appealing to kids, therefore very giftable. I purposely chose wired headphones because kids are notorious for not remembering to charge things, and I didn't want to deal with Bluetooth connection issues, should they arise. The cord seems quite durable, won't get easily bent at either connection site, and won't end up with knots in it easily.
The earmuff style provides nice coverage over the ears and is well cushioned. They fold and swivel effortlessly. Like most headphones, they are clearly marked with a L & R for the apppropriate ears (if your kid bothers to pay attention to this feature). The headband portion is cushioned in the middle and extends on both sides (with cute little musical notes to help kids adjust them equally). Fully extended, they do fit both my husband's head & mine, so for a very young kid, they may be a little large even at the smallest setting.
The stereo sound effect works very well (which is why my son is so in love with these, but was also confirmed by my husband). He said the quality of sound is surprisingly really good, too. As far as the volume limiting feature, I have no means for truly testing the accuracy of the company's statements, but my husband tested these out and said they can get quite loud (to the point of not being able to hear my kids calling to him from 5 feet away). He feels his earbuds do get louder but for an extended period of time at this volume, they probably are not great for little ears.
If you're planning to order these, just make sure the devices your kid will be using them with takes the 3.5mm jack, as my phone only accepts USB-C wired headphones.
The quality of these seems like they will hold up well to the more careless treatment that kids tend to have toward items. I think the price ($16.99, when I ordered them) is fantastic and similar to what I paid for other ones for school supplies. I do recommend these, but cannot attest to the claims of volume limiting capabilities.
