5.0 out of 5 stars Total darkness and comfort anywhere, anytime!

This slumber pod is amazing and fits over any crib!
I used it on a past trip where my husband and I shared a room with our son. It fits perfectly over a pack n play, has a mesh spot for a fan, and a clear plastic insert on top to hold a monitor. We slipped our monitor in and were able to completely see everything inside the pod once it was zipped up. We could even turn on the light outside and it stayed super dark inside! It was so nice. I think it even blocked out a little sound too as we moved about the room after he went to sleep. He slept in it so well we brought it home and stretched it over his crib!

Pros: total darkness, quiet zipper, spots for fan and monitor, lightweight and breathable, small to transport (fits in suitcase with clothes!)

Cons: a little tricky for one person to set up, but doable by following instructions carefully.

Worth every penny for a good nights sleep! Don’t debate, just try it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Top 3 baby purchases

We have had our slumberpod for 2 years now and it's still one of our fav baby items. It so useful for staying in hotels, sleeping at grandparents, traveling etc. It folds up compactly and weighs very little so great for packing in a suitcase and it fits nicely over our joovy playard, which is pretty large for a pack n play. It could easily accommodate most pack n plays. It really does block out any light and it's very breathable, so even in the summer our daughter sleeps comfortably at the cabin. It fits anywhere her joovy fits, so we set it up with her sound machine placed inside. Once we zip it up, I think she feels like its a cocoon in there bc she falls asleep very quickly and soundly. I can't say anything negative about it. It very simple to set up and take down basically like a mini tent that only has 2 rods. It holds up even if your kids get rowdy in there. We always take it with us when she can't be in her crib at home. If you are staying in a hotel, you can use their pack n play and all you need is this to create a private space for baby. This has been the only way for me and my husband to stay up past our daughter's bedtime when we're in a hotel room. Even if she's in a separate room, this helps her feel safe because her sleep surroundings look the same. There's so many random baby things we've bought and this has been one of our best purchases. So worth the money if you plan on sleeping somewhere other than your house.

I reached out to the seller regarding the hole. They responded withon a day. After providing some information and the photos, they are sending a replacement.
_______

Right out of the box, this product looked very promising and indeed can be pretty compact for travel. The instructions were attached to the travel bag, so I appreciate that they won't get easily lost and anyone should be able to read and assemble.

The instructions were easy enough to understand, but getting the other end of the pole in the end cap/slot can be a bit tricky and might be easier with two people. I found it easier to assemble in a more open area, due to the poles being so long, and then just placing it over the pack-and-play (PnP).

Upon assembly though, I noticed a small hole on one side. It seems small now, but already, after a few days of use, I can see it will probably get bigger over time assembling and disassembling when we travel, and we travel often. I reached out to the seller in hopes of getting a replacement. But for now, because it works so well in helping my baby stay asleep, I will continue to use until I hear from them.

It really does keep it dark in there. Even in front of my south-facing windows, although some light comes through, it's not enough to cause any issues. The vents are helpful, but we still use a fan in the upper fan pocket to help keep it cool enough when zipped up. Otherwise, it will get hot and stuffy inside. I also like the fact that there is a pocket for a baby monitor. However, the plastic can make it tricky to place. Any wrinkle in it makes it impossible to see past it, so I have to spend quite a bit of time playing with it to get a clear image. But once set up, it's great to keep an eye on baby.

5.0 out of 5 stars Allowed us to travel so much better!
Reviewed in the United States on December 19, 2023
Although this is a little pricey, it did allow for a great night sleep for our baby, while we were able to still be awake and enjoy the evenings in our hotel room. Our baby goes to sleep around 6 PM so when we travel, it’s nice to not go to bed at that same time. At first I thought this was just an overpriced tent for babies, but after setting it up and using it, I realized this was a quality product. The material is very stretchy, and completely blackout, and has the ability to put sound machine and monitors inside. It allows for our baby to stand up inside and have enough breathing room.

The only thing that I thought was going to be a problem was the monitor pouch at the top was a clear plastic pouch, where when you put the monitor up against it, it has some glare, but it ended up working fine, and we could see him well enough while sleeping

5.0 out of 5 stars MUST-HAVE for traveling families with small children
Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2024
Parents with young children (ideally 3 and under) who are still able to sleep in a pack-n-play 100% need the slumberpod for travel. As you can see in the photo I posted, it's only 0600 and the sun in the house we rented (with no window treatments whatsoever) is already making the room quite bright. Our 18 month old is asleep in a completely pitch black environment despite the fact I am not asleep with that much light entering the room. Set-up is pretty easy. There are two rods that crisscross each other over top of the slumberpod and you put it together on-top of the pack-n-play. The rods collapse into each other and get folded up in a bag that is pretty compact. You could easily throw it in a suitcase. I've seen some partners on BabyQuip offer Slumberpods in their catalog, but not many. It's definitely worth the investment as it's easily packed and takes up a relatively small amount of space. Enjoy!
