    I read Kristen Zimmer’s first book a while ago. This one peaked my interest as I enjoy the mafia stories. This was really good and I love the two women involved in the forbidden romance. Kristen built the characters, Rowan and Julia, extremely well. Each having fathers who head their own team in the mafia war. Hating each other and expecting their daughters to follow the same. But a chance meeting in a bar has drawn Rowan to Julia and their connection to each other is undeniable. But both fathers are out of control and the people getting hurt are Rowan and Julia. I loved the story and the big showdown. I did think the ending was cut short. I had a couple of questions that were not settled especially Julia’s Mom. Maybe there a sequel in the works.

    I'd never thought I'd like a mafia mixed romance but I found this gripping & dripping with adventurous sex & violence it kept me spellbound with that hot couple. Look fwd to reading more of this new found author...

    Two young women growing up in a wild and wicked world. Rowan and Jules--both destined by birth to be the leaders of their warring mob families in due time. The problem was that they just happened to fall in love with each other. That would never work out-----right? Both of these women were head strong, fearless and at odds with their fathers. Oh my, but this book is a work of art. Yes, there is drama, angst, violence but lots of love in these pages. There is also a good smattering of the author's acerbic wit thrown in for good measure. Loved it! Kept me reading way too late into the night but I had to see how this would all end. Again---Loved it!!!!! Many, many thanks to the author for sharing this masterpiece with the rest of us.

    So this book completely skipped the angst the build up the get to know each others. It went from a sort of introduction chapter. Then fast forward to they are dating and have for sometime. I gave it a few more chapters because I thought maybe there would be flash backs? But at 20% nothing.

    What a beautiful story of unconditional love amidst two sparing families. This was another modern version of the Romeo (Rowan) and Juliette story most of us are all too familiar with, yet still, I was not disappointed.

    4.5⭐️ Love always finds away! I love the addition of supporting characters that also want to help the 2 main female characters find a way to be together. This was a really pleasant read! If you’d like mafia romance books, you will most certainly enjoy this one!

    A story that can be true of what the life of a mafia daughter could be like. One being the princess that never really see anything but knows what her father does and doesn't like it and wants out. Then there is the other family daughter that has to be the strong one that learns everything to be able to take over the family business. Very well written about not falling in love with the enemy's daughter., but when you fall in love at first kiss there's nothing anyone can do. See how these two women can stay together

    OMG! What a gripping story! A modern telling, with a happier ending of Romeo and Juliet. Its also a Sapphic telling. The love between Rowan and Jules is all encompassing but they have to get by their mafia boss fathers first.
    There's action, intrigue, and plenty of sex! Kristen knocked this out of the park! A favorite! 5 stars!!
