This was tiny, I did read the dimensions but didn't realise it would be quite so small. The holes on top are large enough for smaller fish to enter so not sure how well it would work for shrimp fry. I returned and ordered a different product that works better for my needs.

I keep finding guppies and mollies and once my male beta. This does not provide a refuge for the shrimp. Cute idea though.

Clever Hiding Place For Shrimplets

I’ve been having trouble with my tetra eating my shrimplets and also accidentally sucking them up into my gravel cleaner. This breeding protector is cute and easy to install by just carefully moving the sand out of the way, since there isn’t a bottom to the cave you can make it as shallow or as deep as you want it and it doesn’t collect and grow algae the way other caves do. My ghost shrimp can fit down into the cave but the tetra can’t navigate their way down into it. I’ve been using long tweezers to drop food into the little holes. I got the white color to match my sand so you can barely see that it’s there. I’ve been having fun watching the shrimplets hang out safely in the cave!

Lightweight/Too simple

Too small and lightweight. Shrimp didn’t like it. They would much rather hide elsewhere. My Plecos kept flipping it too. Just makes food pellets fall into it and then make your tank dirty
