Must admit, these shoes felt heavy as I was unpacking them, but once I was wearing them very pleased with comfort and feel. Although I do not have dig trenches daily I do assist the techs under me with various tasks. Sneakers just didn’t provide the protection to the soles of my feet when I did have to dig. I am very happy with the protection this shoe offers. Pleased with wearing these out in the field some pretty hot days and my feet did well wearing these shoes. Lastly I have a large lawn that I now weekly with a 36” walk behind mower, usually takes me just over an hour to mow! Was comfortable wearing these while cutting the lawn. Overall very pleased. Have to see how they hold up.

If you work on your feet or in a field where steel toes are required, these work really well without breaking the bank. had them for almost a year now and they've withstood break rotors falling on them all the way to fully submerged in mud and snow. I would recommend getting inserts though.

I have purchased Cat boots several times now. I am on my feet 10-12 hours a day on concrete and asphalt. They hold up really well in most environments. They say they are waterproof and that is mostly true. However if you go past the top of the toe and it gets into the tongue area of the shoe your foot will get wet. Only the sides from splashes and about 2-3 inches of water is waterproof. I have worn out other boots in 3-4 months these actually hold up 6 to 9 months. Although I am a lot more rough on my boots then most. Constantly getting up from concrete floors or having to kick things so the toe part gets a lot of abuse but it still holds up. All 3 pairs I have bought have not broken down. Usually the bottom of the boot gets worn down and cracks letting water in from the bottom after 6 to 9 months. Also I must add they are not very slip resistant when it comes to coolant or oil. But just water on the floor doesn't slip much at all. I have subjected these boots and prior boots to engine coolant, transmission fluid, and oil. No degradation of materials as of yet. 4 stars only due to they are not fully waterproof as I would think they could be due to the tongue.

If they last 6 months it will be worth it. Have purchased so many different brands, some expensive some not, but they all only seem to last about 6 months. Husband states takes a few days of wear to break in, but he likes them.

I liked the shoes so much, I used to wear a steel toe shoe which was heavy/uncomfortable to wear longer time.

I am writing this review after a whole day wearing it and it doesn’t tired my feet out.

Also, water proofing helps me to walk around the wet floor.

I bought these in December of 2023 cause I was tired of paying big bucks for my lace up Ariats that ran at 250 a pair and only lasted about 8 months. These were on sale about 40 percent off. I bought 2 pair and paid 65 for each pair and took a chance. I can say they are pr e tty comfortable. The leatger materials are pretty thin and the stitching is pretty thin and not that great. More than anything, they are not even close to being waterproof or water resistant. If water reaches the leather stictch area, your feet about to be wet. They are still holding up somewhat after 7 months, but takeninto consideration that I worked 4 months straight on a power plant outage. Even tho I rated them as a 3, for the price, I will probably buy them again. Another 2 pair so I can alternate them. These should last me till november during black Friday time when they will be in sale again. If they last me one year, than it'll be worth it cause I'll be spending a about half the price less than my previous Ariat boots.
