Tricky installation process 2014 BMW X1

Installation for my 2014 BMW X1 was a bit tricky; these are I&L attachment (pinch tab). There is conflicting information about how these should be installed. Do NOT follow the advise that tells you to remove the preinstalled connector from the Rain-X blade.

The easiest approach is to use the enclosed instructions. You need to remove the outer cover and the blue spacer. Then slide onto the wiper arm, the plastic will wrap around the end of the arm - it won't pivot in like it did before.

After having these for a over a month now they are excellent blades that perform extremely well. I have some vertical streaks on my windshield where the blades stop vertically but I think this is because I didn't follow the instructions to run these dry for a few minutes.

These wipers were easy to put on. The attachment is universal and fits most vehicles. As long as it fits your car it’ll be an easy installation. Legit took me 5min. The wipers are super smooth, durable and is super clear !!! These are better than the $70 Honda wipers at the dealer. Certainly will purchase again when the time comes.

I've been using these wiper blades for years now and I won't use any other brand. The only problem that I ran into this time was that the 26" blade retaining clip was incredibly hard to open and close. I had to use a flat tip screwdriver to open it up and a pair of channel lock pliers to close it. (I grabbed the arm of the wiper frame to use as a foundation to close the clip). Other than that, I've never had any other problems with these blades. I will always use these blades.

These wiper blades were easy to install - once I read the instructions carefully. The coupling mechanism appears to me to be much more robust than those of other blade replacements I've used. They've operated well in the 3 rainstorms in which I've driven, providing consistent rain clearance with no discernable streaking.

Wear gloves when installing these because you will have black marks on your hands! They were fairly easy to install, but found the installation instructions kind of confusing. Once on they've been great!
