- L. M. RawlingsIt’s all about the suction, excellent!This is exactly what I needed for some puppy stains in my bedroom carpet! It cleans very well, it’s easy to use and it sucks! lol seriously, it does any excellent job of sucking up moisture from my carpet and leaves the area damp, not wet. I’ve learned to keep a spray bottle filled with distilled water and use it like a final rinse by wetting the cleaned area after cleaning. This method is used in order to make sure most (or all) of the shampoo and any residue is removed from my carpet. If I don’t rinse the cleaned area one last time, no matter the shampoo machine, the stains eventually show themselves again. Of course they are much less visible than before you cleaned it, however, it is a residue and dirt is attracted to residue.
Final thought, this unit is easy to clean before you store it away, big plus! - S kaufmanCleans all stains!!! Buy it!I think I’ve used this 10x in a month between our kids and puppy. It is amazing! Cleans our new carpet and so far has gotten all stains up. I would give it 10 stars if I could. It’s easy to use and the self clean feature keeps it from getting gross on the inside.
- Midwest in MIBuy this!This is it! Having read and listened to reviews even on YouTube etc, I was able to discern which Carpet Upholstery & Area Rug Cleaner we would try. This met all of our "marks" if you will for what we were looking for. Good suction, power, light weight, and it cleans beautifully. Easy to put together, to use, and is so portable for our needs. We have, "had" light dirt build-up in a couple of areas, mind you, I watched dirtier stains/spots being cleaned with this machine & now I know that those videos or examples of how this machine cleans harder/deeper dirt & it actually does. You can see the removal dirty water etc as it is cleaning. Several attachments, no need for more & yes, I did view another Co's products that are based in my town where I live, but they did not compare to this one. It doesn't come with a storage bag, as I knew, so no worries, I simply ordered the bag (product info below) and this bag was spacious enough to hold my machine, so I'm set. Even though the bag states Bissell, THIS BAG holds my Shark StainStriker beautifully.

Portable Steam Cleaner Storage Bag Only. - Alison SanchezBefore and after Recliner restorationI recently purchased the Shark StainStriker to clean up an old recliner, and overall I’m pretty happy with it. I used distilled water instead of regular tap water, which I think helped avoid any buildup or residue. It’s worth mentioning this isn’t a commercial-grade vacuum, so the suction isn’t super powerful, but it definitely gets the job done with a little patience. For my recliner, I had to go over it about three times before I got the results I was looking for, and in the end, it looked much better.
One thing I noticed is that when you remove the wide head attachment, the single detailing vacuum gives the best suction results. I actually found this to be the most effective way to clean tougher spots. It would’ve been nice if the unit had a steaming feature, but even without it, the machine performs well for its size and purpose.
The build is sturdy, compact, and well-designed, making it easy to use and store. For home use, especially on furniture or small areas, this is a decent product that does what it promises. - JST2FSTMega Machine up for the challenge!Worked first time out. I am impressed by this little guy honestly! The instructions are pretty straight forward, just make sure you are filing the right tank up with solution. I messed up and was going to put the diluted shampoo into the extraction tank because I wasn't paying attention to exact wording in the instructions. But once I got it all set up I had several spots around the house from owning 2 indoor dogs. I tackled the big job first, my dog puked the night before and wasn't feeling well. So I had a couple spots from that and as in the pictures you can see that it all came up. Now full disclosure I did spray the area with a name brand stain remover and let it set before using this spot vacuum. But it all came up and I was impressed with how much 'dirt' and debris came up. The suction on this thing is great for my purposes and I did not have any water leaks. The spray is wide so it covers great on small areas (which this is intended for). I did use warm water in the water tank with the solution but nothing I would consider HOT at all. There is no heater on this unit. For the money I think this is a great value, I love the self cleaning feature, makes clean up a snap. Just empty the debris tank and rinse out then your ready for the next go. I did get mine on sale for about a Benjamin so look for sales. I will be keeping this unit and using it from time to time on doggy issues around the house. I have a carpet machine for any real big issues or just to spring clean the carpets already.
- A. P.This is the one!! Great for pet ownersWhen opened the box, initially I was overwhelmed and intimidated. However, after reading the manual, it was very simple to use. I ended up cleaning more than I had planned. I did my sectional, recliner/rocker and dining room chairs. It works really really well! It picks up dirt and pet hair with powerful extract suction and I like that you can actually see what’s coming up. The sprayer puts out a good amount. You can’t really see it but I put my hand under the sprayer to feel exactly how much was coming out and it provides good coverage. I didn’t have any leakage issues. The included solutions work well for cleaning, odor eliminating and deodorizing. It’s very simple to clean the soiled water tank. Everything looks and smells fresh and new. This is awesome to use in between professional cleanings. I can get them less often now if I use this machine on a regular basis. I highly recommend!
