5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT BOOK!

Book was a good summary of an overthinking disorder wrapped up in less than 2 hrs. (AN EASY READ). I like the examples used throughout the book. It gave insight into the problem with an anxiety disorder that can be a toxic poison in a relationship. I liked the recommendations about self awareness and identifying triggers to avoid toxic relationships.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quick & Easy Help

I am an over-thinker. I am actively trying to change that about myself. There were specific examples in this book that made me think this was personally written for me. But no, I just fit the mold. The physical detriments to overthinking are eye opening. Some I knew some I didn’t. There is some repetition but maybe that’s purposely done to get the points across. The tips are helpful as are the examples. This really made me stop and pump, the brakes before self sabotaging myself yet again. Thank you to the author.

3.0 out of 5 stars Some helpful tips, disorganized

There were some helpful tips in the book but overall it was disorganized (it goes into long distance relationships and jumps back and forth), there were a lot of spelling and grammatical errors and it doesn’t seem like much research went into it.

My girlfriend and I were having some issues from past problems.. We were both overthinking things and just not communicating through it. After going back and forth for 3 years I feel like this book made us think with a different perspective and helped.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not exaggerating when I say this is the worst book I've ever read

I am actually going to do something I never do with books and throw this one away rather than donating it. Nobody should read this book. It contains multiple spelling and grammatical errors on every page; making it feel like it was written by a high school student or translated to English without any post-translation review. As an example, one section is titled "Can Cause You To Question Or Integrate Your Partner." Integrate? No. Interrogate! Every page has these errors. It made it impossible for me to follow much of what was being written, which likely isn't a loss in the end. Very little of what is written in this book stems from actual researched data, and reads like the author's (uninformed) opinion. "If you overthink it'll be bad, so stop doing that" is what it boils down to for 150 pages. Even parts that come from tried and true methods that have been researched and published are in here incorrectly. Take for example the method of asking the "three whys." This is a process used to get the root cause of an issue (you continue to ask 'why' until you have reached the root cause and there is no more 'why' to ask). The author incorrectly lists steps in the processes as a way to find three different reasons why you're overthinking. It's just nonsense.

Save your money and buy anything else. This book is useless and shouldn't be taken seriously on any level.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not for me and my situation
Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2023
Overall, the book was ok. I have done a lot of self reflecting and reading to overcome my anxiety, and this book to me seemed very repetitive and did not provide me with information I did not already know. Also, this book mostly goes over when things go wrong in a relationship. With my situation, nothing has gone wrong, yet, it is my anxiety around being in a relationship that makes me fear some will eventually go wrong. This book would be a good fit for someone who is new to self help books/research and/or is in a relationship that is struggling.
