My philosophy is to make a fortune, not save a fortune. That said, I don't want to waste money either, While reading "The One Week Budget: Learn to Create Your Money Management System in 7 Days or Less!" I decided to examine more closely where my money go. I found that I can save about $400 a month. I kid you not. It will take some doing and in some cases getting used to but it's worth the effort.

Besides inspiring me to save some money and providing me with tips on how to do it, the book also debunked some of my preconceptions. Consolidating credit cards, for example. I had no idea what was involved! Now I know.

Subject of the book - How to properly budget your finances through simple system of cutting expenses and maximizing savings via setting financial goals, using automation to pay bills, and making sure you have effective financial goals.

Audience - Younger People. 'Young, Fabulous and Broke' . Though the methods in the book will work for almost everyone.

Style - Clear, Engaging, Witty.

Difficulty Level - Easy. Author worked as a teacher so she is good at explaining the subject matter. Plus it does not take long to learn how to use Excel :)

Highly Recommended. Consider this book an investment.

I found this book to be just what I was looking for. I want a financial management system that is easy and simple. More importantly I want a system I can automate with minimal intervention on my part after I press the "start" button. Tiffany writes in a simple and clear manner. She breaks a big project into simple doable tasks. She provides tools, resources and worksheets to help. Completing one task motivates a person to continue onto the next. Before you know it, what might have looked too complicated, is done and you are on your way to living a life where you control your finances versus your finances controlling your life. My only regret is I didn't find this book sooner so I'll turn that regret into a positive by using this book to teach my children. Oh and by the way I had a question about part of the book so I sent Tiffany an email. I wasn't really expecting her to personally answer my question but she did !!! WOW !! Tiffany is the real deal. Get this book !!

I love that this book is based on real life situations that I can relate to. I'm going to share it with everyone. This book has help me better manage my money. At 33 years old I am finally thinking twice before I spend money and making sure it's a necessity before I purchase. It has been a struggle my whole life to save money especially when I don't make that much that's why I needed a second job to be able to pay my bills. Now I'm release that if I spend wisely and keep track of what I'm spending I don't really need the second job (but it's nice to have and looks good on my resume). I have opened 2 more accounts (4 accounts in total) to help save money for the future. I have my checking and savings along with an money market account (emergency money) and a savings account (long term savings) for the future. I think this is the breakthrough I needed. I feel more motivated than ever! Thank you so much for this! It is appreciated more ways than you will ever know!

I bought this book in Kindle format. Tiffany ,aka The Budgetnista lays out her budgeting plan with actions to take for seven days. She uses everyday language and gets right to the point. Real life examples are given so her readers can "see" exactly how to implement her budgeting steps. As an educator, I appreciate her examples, grids and witty sense of humor. A quick read definitely worth your while.

I brought this book almost two years ago. I'm in my forties, with a mortgage and a child. True, not all items applied to me, however, I can honestly say it changed my views on paying down debt and saving. Reviewing my budget was a shock. Basically, I was paying out close to a thousand dollars over what I was making each month. Following the steps in this book, within six months I had paid off my largest debtor besides the mortgage and student loan. The tide had begun to turn. Now, over a year and a half later, I saved close to half my monthly salary last month. And I have the exact same salary as when I brought the book! That doesn't happen each month, but for the past nine months or more my expenses have come in under my gross pay. It takes time and real effort, but she gives solid advice. Wish I had this book in my twenties.

At first, when I saw the title, I thought this book was going to teach me how to budget my money in a week as stated "the one week budget". But as I read, it was rather a monthly budget or bi weekly, a bit misleading but it's ok. This is a great read, it has practical solutions to your financial empowerement and gives you a step by step approach to getting how of debt. It has some gramatical errors here and there. This book has inspired me to save and pay my credit card debt now, WAOUH! It was interesting to read how Tiffanny paid over 35,000 of credit card debt in 16 months, now that's pretty impressive! This is the book I wished I had when I first came to this country, it would have helped me avoid getting credit cards! This book will have you hooked, I read it in 3 days. I would recommend it!
