My philosophy is to make a fortune, not save a fortune. That said, I don't want to waste money either, While reading "The One Week Budget: Learn to Create Your Money Management System in 7 Days or Less!" I decided to examine more closely where my money go. I found that I can save about $400 a month. I kid you not. It will take some doing and in some cases getting used to but it's worth the effort.

Besides inspiring me to save some money and providing me with tips on how to do it, the book also debunked some of my preconceptions. Consolidating credit cards, for example. I had no idea what was involved! Now I know.

Subject of the book - How to properly budget your finances through simple system of cutting expenses and maximizing savings via setting financial goals, using automation to pay bills, and making sure you have effective financial goals.

Audience - Younger People. 'Young, Fabulous and Broke' . Though the methods in the book will work for almost everyone.

    Style - Clear, Engaging, Witty.

Difficulty Level - Easy. Author worked as a teacher so she is good at explaining the subject matter. Plus it does not take long to learn how to use Excel :)

Highly Recommended. Consider this book an investment.

Financial peace is 20% guidance and 80% work and this book gives you the full 20% guidance you need to get on the right track. I love the simple, easy to use forms that inspired me to create my own and use formulas to get totals. I read this book in October and since then, I am about to make my final car payment this month (December) and then will have all of my (extensive) debts paid off within the next 18 months. Tiffany wrote a great book and puts everything into perspective, even how she has had financial struggles. I seriously LOVE this book and I will read it again and again and I consider it a very important financial tool. If you read this book, you will have the basic layout and motivation to go ahead on your path down to budget-friendly, debt free living!

I joined the Budgetnista's Live Richer Academy and after attending my first webinar, I purchased this book. This was a great read. The tips provided were easy to follow and implement. The Budgetnista helped see areas where change was needed and helped me better understand what I need to do differently to see the results in my finances that I want to see. After reading the book I plotted my bills and other expenses on the spreadsheets provided and explained to my husband how we were going to approach our bills and expenses differently. We're just getting started but I'm excited about the possibilities!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Little Budget Book

I really enjoyed reading this little book. Granted, I didn't actually follow it like I should have, but I took the general knowledge she shared and put it to use. I have always struggled with spending and never had an actual budget. I went searching on Amazon for a book that would help me build one, and came upon this. I did think that parts of what she said were confusing and kind of hard to follow though. For someone that isn't familiar with Excel and HATES math it might be a bit of a struggle, but it has enough information to make up for the few areas I got confused at. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that has credit card debt they are trying to pay off (like me), or just want some tips on how to set up a budget for themselves. I will probably be looking for another book to go along with this one, but it has a bunch of excellent, and helpful information.

I love that this book is based on real life situations that I can relate to. I'm going to share it with everyone. This book has help me better manage my money. At 33 years old I am finally thinking twice before I spend money and making sure it's a necessity before I purchase. It has been a struggle my whole life to save money especially when I don't make that much that's why I needed a second job to be able to pay my bills. Now I'm release that if I spend wisely and keep track of what I'm spending I don't really need the second job (but it's nice to have and looks good on my resume). I have opened 2 more accounts (4 accounts in total) to help save money for the future. I have my checking and savings along with an money market account (emergency money) and a savings account (long term savings) for the future. I think this is the breakthrough I needed. I feel more motivated than ever! Thank you so much for this! It is appreciated more ways than you will ever know!

This book was a great read. I've read a few financial help books and this one has been the best, especially for helping your through the initial steps of figuring it all out. The book was very well laid out in steps that allow the reader to fully grasp the reality of their situation. I'll say that it might take you longer than a week - Step 1 should last for about a month for a more accurate list of your spending. I have a pretty good grasp on my finances but the book helped me find even more ways to save and in a much quicker time frame. I loved the tone of the book in which the author made it sound like you were talking more to a friend or coach, not very authoritative or demeaning like I've come across in others. I'll definitely be recommending the book to friends!

At first, when I saw the title, I thought this book was going to teach me how to budget my money in a week as stated "the one week budget". But as I read, it was rather a monthly budget or bi weekly, a bit misleading but it's ok. This is a great read, it has practical solutions to your financial empowerement and gives you a step by step approach to getting how of debt. It has some gramatical errors here and there. This book has inspired me to save and pay my credit card debt now, WAOUH! It was interesting to read how Tiffanny paid over 35,000 of credit card debt in 16 months, now that's pretty impressive! This is the book I wished I had when I first came to this country, it would have helped me avoid getting credit cards! This book will have you hooked, I read it in 3 days. I would recommend it!
