The first half of the story was interesting enough to keep me reading. The female lead was a complete mess mentally from the start...the weakest person alive. But the whole story line fell apart about the half way mark. The same events kept happening over and over. ...and the poor woman had not one common sense thought. More editing would have found these mistakes.

Just when you think you know the whole story something changes and you’re thrown for a loop. I wasn’t impressed with the bonus chapter though.

Enough gaslighting to fuel a city…. I enjoyed this novel as much as others I’ve read by this author. Domestic drama, psychological suspense ..it held me captive most of the day
I vacillated between irritated and sorry for the main character.

There was inky one section highlighted because I felt they contradicted themselves - most probably won’t notice.

I download a lot of free samples for books, but 90% of the time I don't like them. This was the first book I read by this author. It was hard to put it down. Can't wait to read another one!

This could have been so much better. I finished it so that’s says it wasn’t awful but the main character is rather pathetic and seems to be a bit unbelievable honestly. Then there’s the “twist” which is intended to make you think you didn’t have it figured out from the very first page, but it goes much to far to really work. All in all, I was disappointed because I expected a much better story.
