About this item

There's one rule smart hockey players know not to break: never, and I mean, NEVER date the coach's daughter. But no one ever accused Van of being smart.

When the mouthy bad boy of the Appies catches the groom cheating on the coach's daughter, he can't just walk away. Not on her wedding day.

Maybe his own relationships are casual, but he would never cheat and
never treat wedding vows so carelessly. Not after he and his sisters watched their divorced parents cycle through marriage after marriage.

But forcing the groom to come clean sets off a chain reaction Van couldn't have expected.

Ending with a black eye, an unexpected trip to Florida with one runaway bride, and a secret bargain struck with Coach.

A bargain that may just jeopardize the very real and very inconvenient feelings he's developing for the very last person he ever should.

Runaway Bride and Prejudice is a closed door hockey romance featuring the team bad boy and a very good girl who also happens to be the coach's daughter. It's a sports romance with all the sizzle and swoon, but no spice.

This is part of the Appies hockey romance series, featuring Just Don't Fall, Absolutely Not in Love, a Groom of One's Own, and Romancing the Grump. These books are standalones but may be best read in order.

This book was fantastic!!!! I loved it from the start. Van and Amelia are the perfect mix of triumph out of tragedy!!! Witty words, some smoking chemistry… my fav Appies story so far!

Runaway Bride and Prejudice was such a fun book! Gotta love those Appies!

Mills & Van were so cute together, and I loved that they'd met each other before they knew that he was an Appies hockey player, and she was the coaches daughter, and they hit it off. Sometimes, when it's the right person, you just know.

The plot kept me reading, the characters kept me smiling and smirking, and the clean romance kept me coming back for more. So satisfying and swoony!

What a whirlwind romance! I didn’t really have any expectations going into this one, but I knew I definitely had to read the next book in the Appies series. Van and Amelia‘s story was full of funny and sweet moments, but also displayed the raw emotions of two realistically flawed, but growing characters. The pacing was a little bit fast for me, but I still couldn’t put it down.

If I could give this more than 5 stars I would. The coach’s daughter Amelia becomes a runaway bride and the Appies bad boy Van is the perfect honeymoon travel companion. Let the hijinks ensue. Make sure to read the previous books so you know the side characters. I laughed so hard at the Dream Team’s chat that tears rained down and I hyperventilated. At about the 40% mark I wanted something to happen and then the plot twist was sooooo much better. At the 80% mark I waited anxiously for a declaration and what I got was sooooo much better. The very end twist with Alec was sheer perfection. I binged this in about 5 hours and might need to go back and binge the series again!

This was an amazing read involving the hockey coach's daughter and the hockey coach's least favorite hockey player. I enjoyed the chemistry between Van and Amelia, the small twists in this story, and getting to know Van's sisters.

Such a great book! It was seriously hard not to speed read because the anticipation of what comes next was insane many times in this book! Quite addicting really but I’m slightly worried I missed some stuff because of said speed reading so it may need a re-read. (which is not a trial) All of Emma’s books are re-readable!

This is such an enjoyable book. I loved the two parts. The relationship between Robbie and Amelia was disjointed and complicated. I was happy it finally came together. I liked reconnecting with some of the characters from the series. I laughed so many times while reading Runaway Bride and Prejudice and I cried a few times also. I definitely recommend this book.
