5.0 out of 5 stars An "Action"-Packed Book

It is so easy to overthink- get on the hamster wheel and just keep thinking the same things over and over and going nowhere. That leads me to doing even less. The "action-packed" of this book is that at the back of the book is a place to review, synthesize, and focus what each chapter has covered. Then do it. Or at least set the goals that will accomplish it. THAT is action- and it works. Very good book!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Book

I liked this book, even if I didn't love it. There wasn't anything terribly original in it, but it provides a systematic way of approaching a problem that afflicts a great many people. Sometimes it is good to have an outside perspective, and this book was written in a plain-language way that makes it accessible to the average person. I was especially keen on Chapter 6, where the author discusses journaling as a self-help tool. I cannot recommend that habit enough. Journaling is a first-rate way of keeping in touch with yourself. Bottom line, this is a pretty good book. I recommend it.

Love books like this and this one did not disappoint! I really liked that the author put emphasis on our being in control. I loved the idea of creating an "SOS File of Positive Praise." That really struck me. It also made me think about sending emails to people I love to tell them about the things I love about them. Everyone could use a little more of that. I also appreciated the sections on rethinking vs. overthinking and creating healthier habits. In all, this was an excellent read that I will be revisiting, and recommending to others.
