About this item

Today is supposed to be the happiest day of my life.

I'm
engaged to the man of my dreams, and in a few short hours, I'm going to stand before a judge, who will declare us husband and wife, till death does us part. Despite some bumps in the road, this day is everything I dreamed it would be.

There's only one problem:

Someone out there doesn't want me to live long enough to say my vows.

And if I'm not careful,
they may very well get their wish.

Note:
The Housemaid’s Wedding is a winter-themed short story meant to fill in the long gap between Book 2 of the Housemaid series (The Housemaid’s Secret) and Book 3 (The Housemaid is Watching). It can be read either between Book 2 and Book 3, or after Book 3.

5.0 out of 5 stars Short and sweet

I definitely enjoyed this short and sweet filler book. I did enjoy all 3 housemaid series before reading this one. This is very entertaining in the small amount of pages this book comes with. I love that Freida added that extra details about Millie and Enzo getting married yet still giving you that cringe edgy feeling. I have read 9 well now 10 Freida McFadden books and I have no been disappointed yet.

So this may contain some spoilers so read the rest with caution.

Overall great read. Short and sweet I shall say. I definitely think this book could have a little more chapters and given us a little more back story to the 718 caller and her parents. I would have like to a chapter on the proposal.

Now onto the story itself. It’s a good story but like I mentioned I would have like more on the 718 caller. I read this in like a hour so you can finish it in one sitting. I love how Enzo continues to defend Millie. I have book 3 and am excited to finish it now that I have this story on their wedding.

4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT SHORT STORY

Direct and to the point. It is awesome to not have repetitive dialogue filling empty space that adds nothing to the story. Freida doesn’t do that. She has original ideas that make sense and she knows how to structure those ideas into action. This was a sentimental and beautiful love story that was very moving. Read this little gem and enjoy.

I received this today. I was so excited I sat down and read it in one sitting. I love this author's writing style. I have read the 3 Housemaid's novels and enjoyed every page! This is a quick short story that gives a little more insight into the main character's experiences. It is type of bridge between the last 2 books adding more clarity to the story. I recommend you read the entire trilogy and this short story.

5/5 ⭐️ I think people are not understanding that this is a short story. It is the missing wedding in between books 2 and 3. It isn’t meant to be an entire long plot, of course it leaves us wanting more… it’s Freida! But even just this short little missing chapters it has so much suspense ! I really enjoyed the details of Millie and Enzo’s wedding !! Book 42/50 for #2024readinggoal #bookstagram #booktok #thehousemaidswedding #freidamcfadden

4.0 out of 5 stars A Fun Addition to the Housemaid Series!

It is finally Millie’s turn to marry. She has found an incredible man, and her day promises to be one of a true celebration! Unfortunately, on her special day, Millie is hounded by someone who wants her dead.

This short story is awesome! Millie, of the Housemaid series, is still brave and funny. This book would chronologically fall after the second book, A HOUSEMAID’S SECRET and before the third, A HOUSEMAID IS WATCHING. However, it doesn’t have to be read in order. Like the other full-length novels by Freida McFadden, this shorter one is just as good. I laughed out loud in parts and couldn’t put it down.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best short story I have read this year

I have read all of the housemaid books and I am just obsessed with all of them. Although this is a short story I feel it adds so much to the knowing of the characters especially Enzo. I like learning how they came about finding a name for the baby and the drama had me guessing what would happen to the very end. I highly recommend.

This one had me turning page after page too. I loved the housemaid series , just wish the wedding was longer or maybe another story is added to make up the space between books two and three. Feel like the space wasn’t enough. Feel like it’s still missing time . Kinda ended abruptly, and left me hanging wondering what happens in the eight to nine years between books .
