- KatBest Approachable Art Lessons Ever! The author of this book gives clear, succinct directives. It offers popular subjects with sketches accompanying the directives. I love that there are obvious ranges of pencil shades in each sketch. If you have an interest in drawing, this book allows you to move forward in your art. I highly recommend it.

- Johnny n SharonGreat book for kids and young adultsGreat book. Out friend’s son loves it!
- Jennifer R.I love anything that keeps me learning. This book is simple yet so creative. It shows how to take a blank piece of paper and make it look like there are things jumping out or off the paper. I've always been able to draw simple little pics, but this allows me to take it to a whole different level. It's very fulfilling.
- mikeGreat giftGreat gift for youngest granddaughter who loves to draw!
- Le chouThis book has aged a lot compared to competitionI love the book's first part (drawing techniques, understanding shapes, blending and shades). I wish this part would have dug deeper into the details. On another hand, I'm a bit less keen about the "how to draw" section: too much unuseful text.
