About this item

★★ #1 in the Kindle store and a New Yok Times Bestselling Romance ★★

She's his opposite in every way...and the greatest temptation he's ever known.

Reserved, controlled, and proper to a fault, Kai Young has neither the time nor inclination for chaos—and Isabella, with her purple hair and inappropriate jokes, is chaos personified.

With a crucial CEO vote looming and a media empire at stake, the billionaire heir can’t afford the distraction she brings.

Isabella is everything he shouldn’t want, but with every look and every touch, he’s tempted to break all his rules…and claim her as his own.

***

Bold, impulsive, and full of life, Isabella Valencia has never met a party she doesn’t like or a man she couldn’t charm...except for Kai Young.

It shouldn’t matter. He’s not her type—the man translates classics into Latin for fun, and his membership at the exclusive club where she bartends means he’s strictly off limits.

But she can’t deny that, beneath his cool exterior, is a man who could make her melt with just a touch.

No matter how hard they try, they can’t resist giving into their forbidden desires.

Even if it costs them everything.

King of Pride is a steamy opposites attract, forbidden billionaire romance. It's book two in the Kings of Sin series but can be read as a standalone.

Contains explicit content and profanity. Recommended for mature readers only.

Devoured. Loved. Obsessed. King of Pride has the most intriguing opposite attract dynamic, angsty yet delicious forbiddenness and incredible Asian representation. It was an immediate win for me. I just knew from King of Wrath, Isabella and Kai’s story was going to be amazing. As always, Ana’s writing was spot on and I could not recommend her work enough.

Intelligent, controlled and proper to a fault, Kai was groomed to become the CEO of the Young Corporation. With a life-changing vote looming, his title, company, legacy were all at stake. He could not afford to lose. He had to focus but the gorgeous, sweet and spirited Isabella had completely tilted his world off its axis. She was not his typical acquaintance. She was bold, impulsive, so irrepressibly herself and he was charmed by her.

Coming from an Asian background, I resonated with Isa very strongly. Ping poinging between chasing her dreams and living up to her family’s expectations. Amidst her chaotic life, Kai brought her a sense of tranquility. Having been scarred by her ex, Isa was not looking for a relationship. She also liked someone rougher around the edges, nothing like Kai. Yet she found herself admiring him and developing dangerous fantasies about him.

His reputation and her job were on the line (no fraternisation at the club), so they kept their distance. However, life kept pushing them into each other’s paths. Their witty banter, stolen touches and brewing chemistry was everything. Eventually, their tension exploded. Kai was no doubt a gentleman but he could get real dirty behind closed doors.

What I loved most about them was how positive and healthy their relationship was. They supported, motivated and reassured one another through the ups and downs. They brought out the best in one another.

A special mention to Isa’s friendship group. The most loving, caring and loyal bunch ever. I loved the crossover of the Twisted and Kings of Sin worlds. There were cameos of familiar faces and also new ones. I am very excited about our next couple. In typical Ana fashion, I believe there will be some major grovelling involved…

I absolutely loved this book! I actually skipped this book at first but then I was reading “king of sloth” and became curious about Isabella’s story. I’m glad I ended up deciding to give it a chance! Isabella & Kai are so sweet together. Their story was unique, swoon worthy, and had the perfect tidbit of spice mixed in. The banter and humor between them made this a comforting read. They had an ease between them where they could be light and joke with each other but also were serious when they needed to be. They comforted each other even in the hardest of times. Their story was adorable and I’m glad that I read it.

Just when I think I know my type, apparently I need to add Nerdy, Introvert & CEO to it also heheh! Such a great book, with another great storyline. I feel like many people these days can relate to Isa trying to find her purpose and not knowing her worth. It’s refreshing to read something very relatable. Can’t wait to read the next one!

King of Pride was a super cute romance story with a few really great spicy scenes. Overall, it was a fun read, but for me, I did feel like it was lacking and very predictable. I enjoyed the lead characters who were very likable. Isabella felt extremely relatable for me, and I love the quiet, smart guys, so it was a fun duo for me. I enjoyed it more than King Of Wrath, and I hear these books just continue to get better, which I'm hoping to be true. The story and character connection is adorable, and you really love them together, but the meat of the plots in these books are what lose me. I think I prefer dark romance because the plots are usually way more involved, and I enjoy that. The best scene in this book is the feather scene, and that was entertaining and smutty, lol. In the end, these books are definitely for cutesy romance lovers

Wasn't big on the first book, so I almost didn't start this one. However, I really like the characters Isabella and Kai. The storyline was more wholesome and emotional for me which made a difference. I am going to read the next one(s) but I am currently feeling like this will be my favorite out of the series.
Obvs the super rich aren't super relatable and I think that makes it hard to enjoy the book without feeling a little guilty or out of touch. However, Isabella is fairly relatable despite being an heiress. Unfortunately for her character though, she went through a lot...
Overall pretty good character development on Kai and Isabellas part...and even their family members. So that's cool. The spice wasn't half bad either ????.
Ultimately my enjoyment of a fictional story wins out over my disdain for the real billionaires in our world today.
It made me laugh outloud so that's always an advantage as well.
