About this item
She's his opposite in every way...and the greatest temptation he's ever known.
Reserved, controlled, and proper to a fault, Kai Young has neither the time nor inclination for chaos—and Isabella, with her purple hair and inappropriate jokes, is chaos personified.
With a crucial CEO vote looming and a media empire at stake, the billionaire heir can’t afford the distraction she brings.
Isabella is everything he shouldn’t want, but with every look and every touch, he’s tempted to break all his rules…and claim her as his own.
***
Bold, impulsive, and full of life, Isabella Valencia has never met a party she doesn’t like or a man she couldn’t charm...except for Kai Young.
It shouldn’t matter. He’s not her type—the man translates classics into Latin for fun, and his membership at the exclusive club where she bartends means he’s strictly off limits.
But she can’t deny that, beneath his cool exterior, is a man who could make her melt with just a touch.
No matter how hard they try, they can’t resist giving into their forbidden desires.
Even if it costs them everything.
King of Pride is a steamy opposites attract, forbidden billionaire romance. It's book two in the Kings of Sin series but can be read as a standalone.
Contains explicit content and profanity. Recommended for mature readers only.

Intelligent, controlled and proper to a fault, Kai was groomed to become the CEO of the Young Corporation. With a life-changing vote looming, his title, company, legacy were all at stake. He could not afford to lose. He had to focus but the gorgeous, sweet and spirited Isabella had completely tilted his world off its axis. She was not his typical acquaintance. She was bold, impulsive, so irrepressibly herself and he was charmed by her.
Coming from an Asian background, I resonated with Isa very strongly. Ping poinging between chasing her dreams and living up to her family’s expectations. Amidst her chaotic life, Kai brought her a sense of tranquility. Having been scarred by her ex, Isa was not looking for a relationship. She also liked someone rougher around the edges, nothing like Kai. Yet she found herself admiring him and developing dangerous fantasies about him.
His reputation and her job were on the line (no fraternisation at the club), so they kept their distance. However, life kept pushing them into each other’s paths. Their witty banter, stolen touches and brewing chemistry was everything. Eventually, their tension exploded. Kai was no doubt a gentleman but he could get real dirty behind closed doors.
What I loved most about them was how positive and healthy their relationship was. They supported, motivated and reassured one another through the ups and downs. They brought out the best in one another.
A special mention to Isa’s friendship group. The most loving, caring and loyal bunch ever. I loved the crossover of the Twisted and Kings of Sin worlds. There were cameos of familiar faces and also new ones. I am very excited about our next couple. In typical Ana fashion, I believe there will be some major grovelling involved…
Obvs the super rich aren't super relatable and I think that makes it hard to enjoy the book without feeling a little guilty or out of touch. However, Isabella is fairly relatable despite being an heiress. Unfortunately for her character though, she went through a lot...
Overall pretty good character development on Kai and Isabellas part...and even their family members. So that's cool. The spice wasn't half bad either ????.
Ultimately my enjoyment of a fictional story wins out over my disdain for the real billionaires in our world today.
It made me laugh outloud so that's always an advantage as well.
