5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy Fire Pit Ring That Takes the Heat
Reviewed in the United States on February 10, 2024
I've waited several months to write this review because I wanted to give an evaluation based on usage over time. This is a solid, sturdy fire pit ring that has held up well over several months of moderate usage. I'd like to address two issues other folks mentioned:

1. Some said that the pieces didn't connect together well--there were gaps or alignment issues. I'd read the reviews so I was watching for this. Randomly setting the four pieces together at first did result in gaps and poor alignment. I simply kept rearranging the four pieces until the alignment was correct. Ideally, this shouldn't be necessary but attempting a few different configurations will apparently yield a nice tight fit (see my attached photo).

2. Some said that their ring rusted terribly in a short time. I have not found that to be true. My second picture shows the fire ring after several months of usage and being kept outside in the weather the entire time. There is almost no rust at all.

One thing I did do from the start was to replace the provided bolts with harder Grade 8 bolts. It was a very small expense but a good choice for making sure the connectors are not compromised by the heat. The provided bolts are alright, but they're pretty cheap and I expected them to rust quickly. I chose to head that off from the start by replacing them.

In summary, I like this fire pit ring a lot. It's exactly what I wanted, meets my performance and appearance expectations, and I'd buy it again if I needed another one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Strong, huge, easy to assemble
Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2023
I've built a lot of fire pits, but this is my first time using a metal ring. Home Depot stones fit perfectly around it, the metal adds structural integrity, and it helps prevent my stones from cracking from extreme heat.

Assembling took 5-10 minutes. Only 8 bolts.

Note: the edges are VERY sharp. Not safe for kids to touch or you’ll risk injury. Recommend for use inside a stone pit. Do NOT recommend for use by itself because of the unfinished / raw edges.

Note 2: the black metal will not stay black with use of real wood. But that’s to be expected with any ring.

Looks good and works fine. Edges are entirely flush when touching but not a big deal.

My first order came broken and I was unable to assemble it. However the selling company quickly made it right and sent me a new one.

The new one was easy to put together and makes a great sized, lovely firepit. I highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality for price
Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2022
Arrived VERY well packaged and within one week of date ordered. Box is quite heavy and item is good quality steel, comes in 4 pieces and super simple to assemble with nuts/bolts provided. Some reviews complained about the edges not matching up well but I found by assembling on a flat level surface (garage floor) and tightening each section gradually it matched up just fine considering it's formed by four separate pieces. The fire pit in my photo is still a work in progress with leveling and deciding if I want rocks or the wagon wheel rings I have around it in the photo... and I might elevate it a bit.
Overall a good value for the price and I will update if something unusual happens once I have a couple good fires in it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely perfect!
Reviewed in the United States on August 19, 2022
This 45" OD firepit ring is the perfect complement for my firepit. It is a very well made heavy duty 3 mm thick ring. The ring arrived undamaged and was very easy to assemble according to the enclosed instruction sheet. All 4 pieces aligned perfectly without any difficulty. I was looking to construct a smokeless design for my round 42" ID firepit so I drilled .5" holes around the top of the ring and 8 holes around the bottom for air circulation. I then painted the ring with high temp flat black paint. I also removed 2 blocks on the second layer and spaced the rest so I had 4 vent holes to allow air in behind the 10" deep ring. Filled the bottom of the pit with red lava rocks and added a nice 36" heavy duty grate from Titan. Firepit looks great with this ring and will probably last a long time. So happy this project worked so well. Highly recommend this firepit ring.

3.0 out of 5 stars Its fine... but be careful
Reviewed in the United States on January 4, 2024
This thing is heavy and sturdy, but I will say BE CAREFUL PUTTING IT TOGETHER. I was wiping the styrofoam off the metal and a sharp shard on an edge sliced into my hand.

There's also two small bends on the corners, but they'll easily bend back with some muscle and plyers. There are some gaps on the pieces (because it's 4 pieces, not one), but I'm not going to be too picky.

If you need absolute perfection, this isn't it, but it works just fine and is nice and heavy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful fire ring
Reviewed in the United States on April 20, 2024
It was pretty easy to put together and the instructions were clear. I’ll probably spray some high temp spray paint over the chrome bolts just for looks. I built my fire pit using 3 layers of stone creating a 12” deep pit. The fire ring is 10” so I filled the bottom of the pit with 3 “ of red pumice rock to protect the fire pit blocks. The fire ring looks great. Should be easy to touch up if needed.
