5.0 out of 5 stars Good product
Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2024
The aesthetic appeal of the Galaxy Watch is remarkable. It arrived in excellent cosmetic condition, with only a couple of minuscule scratches that are almost imperceptible. In terms of functionality, the Galaxy Watch leaves little to be desired. It boasts a wide array of features that cater to various needs, from fitness tracking and heart rate monitoring to receiving notifications and even making calls. However, it's important to note that one drawback I've encountered is the battery life. While the watch performs admirably in many aspects, the battery tends to last only a day and a half on a single charge.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great watch - my second Samsung in 6 years
Reviewed in the United States on August 22, 2023
I bought my samsung watch 6 years ago. It was one of the first samsung watches. Over the years i've bought many accessories for it and i wanted to buy the same watch. I found this on Amazon for $59 and it works better than my first watch. And i'm able to use all the accessories i've bought over the years.

4.0 out of 5 stars UPDATE - 10-9-2022
Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2022
UPDATED - 10-9-2022

My previous reviews - the last update - pretty much praised the functionality of this smart watch, but I had an issue with the number of charges I had to perform. There were about 3 per week. Now, it's worse. There is a big inconvenience to me when I have to charge this watch EVERY SINGLE DAY. The past smart watches I had - 1 Fitbit Versa and another Fitbit model, and a cheaper brand - had an average of 3 days and even the cheaper one lasted that long.

I don't know what it is with this watch. I disabled email, and social media notifications thinking that was the issue, but it's still doing the same thing as you can see by the picture. It's at 92% and that will only last 1 day and so many "small" hours. Getting alerts that the watch is going into power-saving mode is because of low battery, really inconveniencing me, especially with my hectic schedule. I'll continue to enjoy the plethora of features, but I'll still be in the market for one with features and long battery life.

UPDATE - 10-4-2022

After many weeks of wearing the watch, and becoming more familiar with its functions, I've come to the conclusion that this watch is probably the best smartwatch I've had and I don't say that lightly. I consider myself a "tech geek" so I watch what I purchase and if I'm not familiar with the product, I research it first and then go from there. I did that with this watch.

I wasn't disappointed. The ONLY issue I have with this watch is the amount of time between charges. The smartwatches I had in the past - no named brands - always lasted at least three days. With this one, I seem to have to charge it at least a day and a half AFTER a full recharge.

My issue with the rotating bezel resolved "itself," and now it moves freely. I f I were to rate this watch on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it an 81/2. If the battery charge lasted longer, I'd give it a full 10, but I'm good with the product and will order more from this seller.

I've purchased a few smartwatches in the past. My last favorite watch wasn't even a name brand, but I did what I expected it to. I paid around 40.00 for it and was kind of skeptical about it. It lived up to its promises. The watch would alert me when I needed to move around, "congratulate" me on my goal of steps, and so much more. I was satisfied and would have ordered it again until I saw this Samsung Galaxy Watch.

I read the reviews and the only complaint I saw from buyers was the battery life. I did some research after noticing that what they said might be true and discovered that the amount of battery life might depend on the type of watch face. It's just like a smartphone. The darker the wallpaper is on a cell phone, the longer the battery will last before charging again. I changed mine from an active, light one, to a darker one and will see what that does.

As for the features, I LOVE them all. I can make calls from the watch AND talk. I like the alerts, the style of the watch, and the fact that I don't have to actually plug the watch in to recharge it. The wireless charger is a plus in my book.

Up until this point, everything exceeds my expectations, but there is one thing that prevented me from giving 5 stars and that is the rotating bezel can sometimes be difficult to turn. I was about to pack this up and return it when I thought about just blowing into the crevice where the bezel meets the watch face and it started to easily turn again.

That doesn't seem to last long. It seems as if there is a small amount of debris stuck in between the bezel and the watch face, because when I blow air into it, it starts turning again, but it doesn't last for long. I have to continue to do that. If this issue continues, I will be returning for a replacement or a refund. If it doesn't, I'll reorder another one in a different style.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the investment
Reviewed in the United States on April 11, 2024
I wasnt sure if I was going to use a smart watch. This price for a refurbished model made me go ahead and try it. Works great and I love the smaller profile than other watches I've seen. Works great and I'm glad I got it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very good purchase (Caveat)
Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2021
I'm not sure what everybody else is talking about in their reviews. I took the chance and purchased two, one for my wife and one for myself.

We received everything listed in a well packaged box. Included was the watches, charging base, charging cord, and instructions.

Both watches were in VERY close to new condition with virtually no surface wear.

We were able to charge, sync, and use the watches within an hour of removing them from their respective boxes.

UPDATE: The watches still work, but the charging bases BOTH stopped working overnight. One of them just stopped working and the other MELTED. I tested the busted one with a separate charging cord and power supply and it still wouldn't work. The melted one I found after I woke up the following morning. I picked up my watch from the dock and burned my wrist when the watch touched it. Then I noticed the smell of burning circuit boards and noticed the plastic of the charging dock was warped in several places and REALLY hot. I'm NOT happy about that because it could have easily started a fire. The busted one I could have just replaced because, oh well, electronics break. But the melted one is inexcusable.

So if you choose to but this watch from this company, make sure you purchase a QUALITY charging base.
