Lightweight and good price for small projects like trim, OSB, wainscoting and plywood. Tried using it to cut stair stringers for a deck. Poor thing burnt out in a blaze of hot plastic and toxic fumes. Couldn't hang with the big dogs

This little thing is a great deal as far as I'm concerned. Convenient for quick small jobs. I'm a fan of Ryobi tools and this one is cool!

I seldom write a review, but this one was enough to report the seller. The Allen screw that mounts the blade would not turn as the plastic lock that holds the sawblade in place was broken. The saw showed excessive signs of use on the bottom and on the side - this was a used saw. I don’t see how I could meet the criteria of re-furbished. Also, there was no saw blade included. At this point, I thought well, I will just return the saw. I requested a refund and a return and checked the defective box when I returned. A couple of days later I sent the saw out. A few days later I got a refund with a 20% restocking fee. Imagine the look on my face :-).

It seems as if the seller or Amazon don’t care about how customers are treated. I contacted the seller and still have not heard back. This was over a week ago. Yes, the refund was only eight dollars and change but it’s a principal involved when somebody sends you defective stuff they should refund 100% of your money which they did not. This is what caused this review. I’m a Ryobi fan I love Ryobi tools I will not purchase again from the seller as they took no interest in resolving the issue.

base was bent and sounds like a bad bearing, but it is a retread. cut very well., light weight and with adapter using Milwaukee battery plenty of power!
