Wow, my pickup starts quickly with this new starter! The engine would barely turn over, even with a strong battery, so I changed the starter. It was an exact replacement on my GMC 6.0L engine. It is a pretty tight fit. First disconnect the battery, then unbolt the old starter and let it down gently until you can access the wires for removal, remove the old starter. Put the new starter up far enough to attach the wires, then bolt it into place. The whole process probably takes 30 minutes.
