Lightweight. Compact! We needed something small, and this printer is awesome! Super quick to set up. Unless you want to sign up for the HP Smart, you will need to buy your ink separately. The sample ink it comes with won't work unless you sign up.

This printer is the most frustrating simple machine. At first, it installed properly with no problems. I was able to print immediately after connecting to the internet easily. My phone was able to print even without the required app. Fast forward ONE DAY. The printer will no longer connect to the internet because the internet is 5 gHz and it can only be connected on a 2 gHz connection. What? It JUST connected, nothing had changed. Fine. I was going to keep it because I could at least connect to the printer directly and print and then that stopped working, too. I go to the app that HP forces you to download to even begin to use their products and it loads only for the "get support" button to not even function. This is beyond worthless and it makes me never want to buy another HP product because even the support (after going to their website) led me in circles and I got no answers, no connection and no printed documents. Zero stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great little printer for the money

I Had to have a new printer, as mine wasn't working anymore. I decided on this, as it was very small, and wireless. It fits perfectly on top of my stereo, right in the living room where I spend most of my time.

This was a refurbished printer, but looks brand new and in perfect shape. It arrived very well packaged. It did not come with a cd for set up, but I did not need one. It also did not come with any instructions, but you can find anything you need online/their website.

I am a "senior" and I simply made sure I took all the blue tape off of all the parts, plugged it in, put in the ink, and turned it on. It picked up my internet signal right away. I walked over to my laptop (across the room) and went to Settings/Devices/Printers and simply clicked on "add Bluetooth or other device". It discovered my new printer, and voila, it was set up! It also went to the website, but I didn't need it. Then I set the new one as my main printer. If I can do it, anyone can do it.

The paper feeds well. First, I had to print out a bank statement. I used the black & white. It printed very well, but for some reason printed a couple sheets with only one line on it... after some checking, I figured out that the way I had the statement set up, I just needed to adjust the print size on my computer so each page would print completely on one page. Then I made a greeting card for my Mom. I am a graphic designer (but am retired and only use my degree for myself now lol). The colors looked great on card stock, nice and clear. The only thing that gripes me, is that I have not figured out a way to print "border to border" so I get rid of the white border. I do not see that setting in the settings, as it was in my old printer, so I may not be able to do it with this printer. It is on the less expensive side, but I had to get a new one after my other one bit the dust, and this was all I could afford. I plan on saving up to get a better one, but for now this will do.

I would recommend this for anyone needing a good printer for every day print jobs. I had the Instant Ink service with my last HP where they keep track via internet, how much ink you use and send new ink when they feel you need it; but decided not to get it with this one, as I do not print as often as I used to. Back then, the service was free up to 10 pages a month, but now I noticed it is .99 a month, with higher costs depending on amount of pages used. And if you print off a test page, THAT counts, so I feel their Instant Ink service is not worth it for me at this time.
All in all, I do recommend this printer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Set up easy, connection to wireless was a little difficult

The set up was easy, but connection to my wireless network was rather difficult. Could have used better instructions for this. But now that the printer is working I like it very much. Condition of the printer was great. I could not tell that it was "renewed" as it looked and worked like a brand new printer!

I purchased a thin paper and it kept sliding blank sheets out and half printed pages. It's shakes when printing. It's difficult to set up. The ink it came with ran out fast. It had an automatic refill option to sign up for but I was not aware of that during purchase so I bought ink along with printer. The refill option expires in 7 days that's not enough time to determine how often someone would need a refill option. I purchased this printer on sale thank God I did not pay full price. It looks cheap and like it's going to break any day. Whenever I have to use it I try to make extra time for printing because I never know when it's going to just print. The only good thing I notice is the pages come out pretty fast. The page catcher could use an extra flap especially since the printer shakes.

5.0 out of 5 stars It works very well and the price was quite good

Purchased as a refurbished unit. Very small footprint so fits nicely on a workdesk. Software installation was easy. It has worked quite well for a moderate document printing load. Prints well on legal size paper. For the price, I am very pleased. [Using on a USB connection to a laptop; have not tested its network capabilities and do not use it with InstantInk or the HP online utilities.]

Update: I bought a second unit. The first unit (above) was set up as a USB and it has performed very well and had done what I needed done. I set this new unit up as a network printer. Setting up the printer on the network was a 3 hour ordeal of trying to figure out what exactly one was supposed to do to get the device installed. Finally got the printer installed and running on the network accessed by two computers on the network, in spite of the HP "Smart" software. So, great printer, HORRIBLE setup software from HP.
