These fans were "renewed" so I was a little skeptical but they came out of the box looking brand new, not sure what was renewed about them. They installed easily and work great. I would definitely purchase a renewed item again.

This is the second of these refurbished 42" Hunter fan/light combos that I have purchased. They give good service but getting the initial ceiling bracket securely mounted is a PITA. I live in a large doublewide mobile home, and the outlet wiring boxes are smaller than stick built homes use, so the supplied bracket cannot be directly fastened to the plastic outlet box like the instructions say. I had to modify special adapter plate (not supplied) to get a secure mounting, so that was 2 hours right there. I also found the ceiling collar screws were too short, had to raid my machine screw assortment to find ones that would work, and the installed ceiling bracket proved about 1/8" wider than the collar, so that was a fight also. Fortunately, the fan/ light looks good and operates well, so in a couple of months I will forget about spending 4+ miserable hours on a ladder getting the damn thing up. ????

So far so good. It’s quiet, we replaced a ticking fan. I didn’t realize it was reconditioned, so hopefully the quiet continues.

Overall the product was just like new & installed easily until I got to the globe covering. It was cracked. Probably the reason the original owner sent it back but it wasn't caught in the reconditioning. I went ahead & kept it as it wasn't that visible but definitely something to check for before installing.
