About this item

As a remanufactured Original Equipment part, this unit assures a perfect vehicle fit
All critical components (cam packs, spool valves, etc.) are triple-tested to ensure product reliability; Units are supplied with 100% tested and calibrated pressure relief valves
All units are built with 100% new O-rings and premium-grade HNBR seals to prevent leaks; HNBR does not break down at high temperatures like conventional seal material
Shafts are surfaced to precise specifications to eliminate premature seal wear and extend pump life; Final pump assembly is computer-tested to measure pressure, bypass, fluid flow, valve operation, steering effort and noise to ensure reliable performance.

The power steering pump went right in with no issues. After proper procedures were done, the pump works great. Been on my 2003 Tahoe about a month now. No noises and no leaks.

Worked great out the box. Pain in the butt to pull the assembly apart and install. But it WORKS GREAT. I will post another review after a week.

Did the trick. Finally got rid of leak and noise. Just follow instructions and take the time to do it right. Have to reuse old housing so take the time to clean it up and inspect surface area dents pitting. I used a little black permatex around seal area. Been two months and no leaks.

1.0 out of 5 stars MAJOR INTERNAL FAILURE CAUSED MY PUMP TO SEIZE AND MORE DAMAGE
Reviewed in the United States on August 20, 2020

After about a year (I forgot when I bought this, service record says 9/29/19), I can confirm that in my particular situation that this pump does not last. I went to start the truck this morning only for it to bog down immediately, and the serpentine to scream. Long story short, the pump seized internally.

Update: Not only did the serpentine snap and create a burnout cloud in the engine bay, it also chewed up the plastic pulley on the tensioner (Cha-Ching! More crap to fix!). I tore down the pump because why not (can't return it, and it doesn't work), and not only do the vanes used in the pump to create fluid flow gradually desentegrate, but the housing was destroyed that holds the vanes. Also, don't even bother leaving the magnet in to catch particles, as it too self destructs over time. save your money and buy something better!
