    First of all, this was a "renewed" tool, so the price was great. ( bought a refurbished DeWalt 12" sliding miter saw about 15 years ago, and it has been great, no problems. So my confidence level on the stapler was high). It uses short or long staples, despite some of the confusing info on the web. I used 1" staples to tack outdoor carpeting to my deck and as I said, it worked like a charm. A big plus is that it doesn't require pneumatic oil! Nice! It is very light and easy to handle. A delightful little surprise was the built in pencil sharpener. Too bad it can't make a pizza.

    I usually purchase low cost air tools from my local HF store, especially since I'm not a contractor or professional that would use these tools for work. However, I anticipate using a stapler for multiple projects around the home, including maintenance and building small items. So, I purchase this stapler and was very happy with the product. Not once has it jammed or malfunctioned. I have already used it to aid in the construction of a small building/shop, and installing poultry netting. Trouble-free, nice air stapler.

    see title..lost near $20 on purchasing and returning two of these units (one here on Amazon with return-restocking charge, one elsewhere with no restocking fee) as neither would use standard staples from the local box store. Unit should be designed to use standard staples..I'm not searching the market for suitable staples. No suitable staple-brand was suggested..which implies it'll work with any standard narrow-crown staple sold by Lowes, Home Depot, Menards..etc..it didn't. Ended up borrowing a harbor freight stapler from a friend..and it worked perfectly with the staples that the dewalt unit couldn't handle. So much for trying to by a more-premium brand.

    This stapler looks new and it arrived in a new looking case as well. However it is missing the threaded air chuck in the back. I happened to have one on hand so it wasn't a problem for me, but how can a refurbisher let a gun go without an air chuck? On a positive note the gun seems to operate well and I am pleased so far. Good tool for the price.
