    Excellent sander, I'm very surprised at how long the battery lasts on it. I used it to strip my Van and repaint it and didn't have to change the battery Between grits. I am always hesitant about buying refurbished tools but this one turned out to be great, As good as new but saved some money.

    I am using this to strip paint off an old deck and prepare it for staining. Works great and it's easy to use. I recommend using the Makita discs as they last longer.

    I'm no expert, but it works well enough. At first, I had the feeling it's just not powerful enough to compare to other (corded or cordless) sanders. It didnt' just "sand things itself" which is fair enough.
    So…an update:
    UPDATE after using it for 2 months…the sander DOES work well, and it was really a matter of me not applying enough pressure. And when I did put my weight into it, the sander didn't bog down or slow down much at all…it really is rather powerful after all. And it has a nice heft and feel to it. Rather happy in the end!

    Don't waste your time with this seller. Bought this sander as a gift for a co-worker, when they opened it it had a broken dust ring attachment. I tried several times to contact seller with no response. Sander works but the dust blows everywhere. It's an $8 part that I will be replacing out of my own pocket. This seller never even took the time to respond. 0 stars if I could.
