This is my first MIDI keyboard, I intended to use it with software sequencers as well as (potentially) a hardware synthesizer that accepted CV, MIDI and USB MIDI (Behringer 2600)
I agonized over whether to purchase this (Arturia KeyStep 37) or the less expensive Arturia KeyStep. In the end I chose an Amazon Renewed KeyStep 37. The keyboard arrived in excellent condition (no signs of use or damage) and works perfectly with a cherry audio CA2800 software synthesizer. Both in windows and under linux using WINE.
The size is perfect for desktop use, keyboard has a smooth responsive feel. I have not had a chance to try with a hardware synth, but have no worries that it will perform competently.
