    Installed this yesterday on my Jeep, went from Hissing brakes that almost drove me nuts to my quiet yet strong brakes. Awesome replacement high quality, mine came in a silver color and double checked the part number, the body / housing was the OEM from the same company that made the master cylinder. Can't go wrong for a 1999 - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7L V8. I'm sure it fits other years and models as well, check twice, order once.

    Where I live the local auto parts shop wanted $280 for this unit. I bought from Amazon but note that garages are reluctant to install owner-purchased parts so I did this installation at a local DIY garage myself. It took me 3 hours on a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited to remove the old hissing unit and replace with this reman unit. Amazon does not want the core back either so sell it or junk it. It works perfectly so I am very happy to have a new brake booster installed for under $200 including shop charges.

    I am giving this one star because the one I recieved was bare sandblasted metal and not painted or coated in any way to prevent rust or corrosion. I didn't have time to wait for another one so I primed and painted it myself before install. Not pleased with the lack of quality control on something so blatant and simple...

    The item came with rust out of the box and was not painted, description should be updated to reflect the actual item conditions. maybe the one i got didn't have the rust-prohibitive finishing.
