I've been a loyal user of the Shure SM57, but I decided it was time to upgrade to something with higher quality for my live performances.
The TELEFUNKEN M80 Dynamic Microphone is impressively constructed and has a solid, well-balanced feel. I appreciate the flat grille design and the overall look and feel of the mic. Despite having a lower female voice, I found the M80 to be quite "crispy," - it seemed to accentuate plosives more than I expected. While this mic is marketed as having superior feedback rejection, I actually experienced more feedback issues with it compared to my SM57s.
