Not sure what thickness, as a rating, as to do with their performance. But I gave them high marks in that category as well. FYI, I ordered two, which what was needed for the Sub Woofer unit with this Klipsch PC speaker system. OMG, the quality is more than I expected, especially at its price points. And, I was really shocked at how crisp and better the Bass sounded.
Why were the neighbors also please? Even though I could get the BASS to go down to 20 Hz. it was clean, not loud. Something I never got from the Klipsch speakers (original equipment). Now the sound more like the old Recliner sized plywood units I had in the 70's and 80's. And those used only two Horn type speakers....
