My old DVD player started making my movie watching a pain when it started adding a buzzing sound to my entertainment. After blaming it on the TV, buying a new one and finding the same problem (ug!), I purchased this and am happy to be able to easily play disks with a simple to use player that takes up very little space. It's easy to hook up and operate, though it may not have every possible adjustment that my old sony did. It works great, and my old remote works with it, so I have a spare...just in case.
Go for it. The price is right and the quality is, too.
