When I first bought this I didn't see the "refurbished" in the title name, once I seen that it said that I was a little freaked out as I know how amazon grades their refurbished items (former processor/picker/packer and stower @ a return fulfillment center) and I know that half of those people in all of those areas half a$$ do anything. But I have to say it has done a good job so far, other than it trying to do repeated prints that I have to hastily press the cancel button. Other than that, it was very well packaged, looked pretty much brand new.

5.0 out of 5 stars Was Hesitant

When something is labeled as "refurbished", I am always wary, but I needed a printer for a Christmas project and I needed one fast. I don't typically use a printer for everyday use, so price point was also a heavily considered factor: I wanted something affordable and practical.

The printer works perfectly for printing (haven't tried using it any other way). It was a little tricky to set up but the manual was very helpful. Couldn't figure out the wireless mode, but it worked fine with the provided USB. It does its job and printed beautifully on cardstock for paper crafts. It's nice and compact and easy to store away when not in use. The printer itself is lightweight and doesn't have too many components, so it could also be brought along somewhere if needed without too much hassle.

Definitely recommend for someone who doesn't need a printer too often, but would like to have one at home for those unexpected moments. Probably too small and not enough ink for someone who heavily uses a printer (ie - office jobs, work from home, etc.)

After owning my own business for 27 years, and having printers in my office at each of my 4 Secretary's desks, I can say, hands down, without ANY debate, that HP printers are the absolute worst. The DeskJet 3772 is no exception. As a matter of fact, today I had one of my office gals spend 3 HOURS trying to get the printer to connect to my Windows 11 PC. It was MIND BOGGLING why it would not connect and STAY connected, and put us all through mental gymnastics that NO piece of computer/office equipment ever should. It would connect, start to print, then stop halfway through, then just blinking power light on the printer. Turn printer off, try to print again - NOPE "Offline" and not available, like it never ever was a working printer. Reinstall drivers/reinstall printer OVER and OVER again. Moved the printer to another desk with a Windows 10 Pro PC, same story. Called HP Support HA HA HA good luck, its all AI automated, you will never ever get a human being. That was another waste of time. Its 2024 people, this is completely and utterly unacceptable. Printers aren't new technology, they've had 40+ years to get this right, and HP is literally just taking peoples money and peddling out trash.
If you want a printer that connects reliably, stays connected, prints excellent, has much more affordable/longer lasting supplies, go spend the extra couple bucks and get a Color Brother laser printer. Thats what I did. This HP nightmare black hole of my office time went right to the DUMPSTER. And I'm not kidding.
So yeah, avoid HP Printers. This one is absolutely *not* an exception to that rule.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great little household printer!

I like the printer. Everything about it was up to my satisfaction. The only dislike I have is the hook up to my WiFi! It sure was a “bugger”! After I tried for over 2 hours to set it up myself with no luck and no directions that came with this printer…..I turned to YouTube. Even that seemed easy to follow but I had no luck! Finally I called the HP help line and got some results. After nearly another 2 hours we finally got my printer to work. The tech that assisted me was very helpful and patient. I could have never performed all the steps he did to get my printer up and running on my own. So once this issue was cleared up I would definitely recommend this printer for the average household user. It is a good value for the money!

3.0 out of 5 stars IT'S a OKAY Printer ..
Reviewed in the United States on December 17, 2022
Well i needed another printer that could handle BASIC printing.. just minor things..nothing heavy and for the MONEY its OKAY.. Not BAD ????. I wouldn't have this for HEAVY printing or business printing. I have a Brother printer that handles heavier jobs . The printing QUALITY is GOOD.... YOU NEED TO KNOW YOUR WI-FI PASSWORD right from the start to SET UP... imo the BIGGEST PROBLEM with this printer is NO INSTRUCTIONS (booklet) included.. you have to GO ONLINE and set up an ACCOUNT (which imo is ALL about you BUYING INK) and follow your way around and YOUR left in the DARK some.... personally I PUSHED buttons and figured it out.... also I made sure I would NOT commit to anything.. Folks ???? a little instruction booklet would go VERY far to HELP the ease of using and setting up the printer for the whole experience.. anyway, after you figure it out it's OKAY.. I think it goes through INK a little fast.. and from what I'm seeing the INK cartridges are approximately $14 / $15 a piece for generic ink.... The ink cartridge is 65xl- BUT make sure it has the Printer NUMBER listed there 3772.. some say 65 XL with NO 3772 printer listed?? I say this because you know how sometimes the INK cartridges DON'T work when you buy a different brand then HP ink.. anyway ???? I'm certainly glad I caught it on sale and in my opinion it's NOT a $90/$100 printer and there are others ..but bottom line it's OKAY and it does the job.. Thanks for reading
