    This is a VCR/DVD combo. Worked fine for half an hour, then froze. It has swallowed my DVD. Company doesn't answer the phone.

    My vcr/dvd player bit the dust. Those are no longer made, but I decided to try for a good used one, since I still have a lot of videos that I don't want to replace with new/used dvd's. I've heard that converting them to dvd's can be iffy and costly.
    This player works fine so far, but it's NOT the black, streamlined one that's pictured, which looked like my previous one. It's wider (and probably older) and gray. It can only be placed between my black flat screen and my black cable box, so it sticks out like a sore thumb.
    I do not appreciate that I was mislead by a picture that's nothing like the product.

    Well I didn’t like the fact it was used and have to use an adapter but I guess that’s the way it is anyway couldn’t get the vcr to work so I really can’t give a good review

    The renewed VCR was in pristine condition, arrived carefully packed, and was complete with cables, OEM remote, and even a bonus RCA-composite to HDMI converter. Everything worked, and I am now able to play and digitize old VHS-C cassettes. Some nearly 30 years old played quite acceptably.
