    The motor on my Ryobi String Trimmer began to lose power and stop operating altogether when I was using the edging tool. I took it back to Home Depot and they said it was under warranty but could take up to 6 weeks to repair. I bought this refurbished tool because I already had the attachments and a good battery and charger.
    The replacement was exactly what I was hoping for. It was just like the old one, came with a one year warranty and works with my battery and attachments. It comes with an operations manual that clearly states it is a refurbished tool. Delivery was on time. I highly recommend the tool and the seller.

    I got this — May 15th, 2023. I plan to use this a lot this month, and will report back in a month if it is still working. Then again in August/September.

    My main gripe is the design. The battery pack sits against my hip/arm, and it gets HOT. My old one did not sit against my arm, so I don’t know if the heat is normal or not, but it is an issue. I plan to look at long work gloves tomorrow, to buffer the heat.

    But? It works well so far, beyond that heat issue.

    Returned. Something wrong with switch. Bought another that seemed to be a next generation and have had no issues after 10 uses

    Does what it says although one major flaw this thing has is it has a beeper. Every time you hit the trigger and while u continue to hit the trigger there is a loud beeping noise. Will have to tear it apart and take out the beeping mechanism. It is a loud continuous beep that doesn't stop unless u let go of trigger. It also goes through batteries like it is nothing i can mow my front and back lawn and use 2 bars of the battery when i use this on the front and back just getting corners and along the fence lines i use 3 bars. Not sure how but OK. Other than these issues it works great just sort out battery issue and the stupid beeper and it will be a great tool

    This was a great replacement to my gas ryobi as it fit the attachments I already had.
    when using, it sometimes winds up slowly or has trouble getting up to speed. good thing I purchased the warrenty with it should it continue to function this way or just stop working.
