This a great little speaker. I use it in the house and outside while gardening. It has great, smooth sound with a decent but not overwhelming bass. It hooks up so easily to your phone or whatever device you use. The controls are easy and right on top of the speaker.

If you are thinking about buying this speaker, don't think, just buy it. Not only does it look cool, it sounds awesome! You will be surprised at the huge sound, deep bass, crisp highs. I hosted a small get together in my living room and pumped heavy metal through this baby for 6 hours straight without worry of it dying. My guests were surprised when they saw the speaker, they were expecting something much bigger; like a boombox from 1985! I owned a Bose Soundlink and This JBL sounds just as good, if not a little better, and more bass, and it's cheaper! I have had it at full volume and there is no crackle or distortion. If you lay it longways, like on its side, you can really hear the stereo sound despite the 2 speakers being so close together. I love this speaker and everything about it. The design is sleek enough to put anywhere, the buttons are perfectly and simply placed, it's rugged and heavy for its size and not in a bad way! There is nothing I do not like about this speaker, I've tried to think of something bad........and then I connected my phone and Blasted some music and could not think of anything!

JBL converted me from Bose. I own 2 of these JBL Flip 4s. I keep one in the shower and one next to my bed. I also bought a JBL Charge 4 that I gave to my girlfriend. I also own a JBL Extreme XL2 in my garage. I also gifted JBL Flip 4s to both my kids and my Dad. I actually like the Flip 4 more than the others in the JBL line up. It is a perfect blend of portability, sound quality, and durability. Solidly constructed. I’ve had my primary JBL Flip 4 for about 3 years.

Holds excellent charge, play for hours and only goes down by less than 1 out of 4 bars. Sound is excellent for it's small size. Highly recommend!
