Start with the most obvious innovation – the integrated metal caribiner. That alone makes the Clip 3 a convenient companion, whether hanging from belt or bag. That, and the ultra-light weight – a half pound, even soaking wet – makes it travel friendly.
Full-range 1.6-inch driver
And you can indeed soak it without damage. The IPX7 rating means it’s fully waterproof, so you can even submerge it for as much as a half-hour. Not recommended – the water would muffle the music anyway – but it means you can take it poolside, beachfront or shipboard without concern.
The built-in microphone includes noise- and echo-canceling technology for crisp, clear conversations.

I bought this for a trip to Vegas and was not disappointed! I could walk around Fremont listening to my smooth jazz and it had plenty of volume and clarity to cut through the normal daytime background noise from traffic, street performers, etc. It filled up my little 250 sq. ft hotel room with A LOT of sound for such a small package. The battery life seemed fine, but I never really had it on unplugged for more than 4 hours at a time. All in all, great buy for the money, imo.

Edit: The battery life is superb! I easily get up to 8 hours of play at full volume on a full charge.

The clip on mine sucks, broke the 3rd time I used it, but that is my only gripe.

Okay this speaker sounds really good. Especially given the size. We were very impressed. It charges fast and lasts along time. Even when you turn it up.

It connected quick to everything: iPad, iPhone, galaxy & even Alexia. Once connected the Bluetooth doesn’t drop & has a good range (15 ft easy)

The only negative is the clip. It works and it holds, but it doesn’t inspire much confidence. It be fine to hook to something while listen to to keep it from getting misplaced but id never walk around with it dangling.

Highly recommended - for the money, the size and the sound I’d be hard pressed to get a better speaker

Pros:
- Clip is fantastic! It's metal with a non slip grip on the inner portion of the clip. And clip goes around outside of speaker
- Buttons feel good and respond immediately
- Sound is above average for speaker of this size
- Waterproof

Cons - only downside for me is the lowest sound setting is not quite low enough

I bought this to replace the JBL Moto Mod on my previous phone. It would have gone on my newest phone but I decided to move away from the Moto Z family. This speaker sounds even better than the Moto Mod one. Battery life has been good for me. Overall I am happy with this purchase.

The JBL Clip is an excellent value. Given the price and the size, this will not be the best small speaker you ever heard. However, it is very well constructed, at a good price, with an “excellent” battery life. I use it everywhere…in the shower… in my gym… on my patio. While a part of me wishes Apple had a small wireless speaker, the Clip would still be a great deal as the Apple version would undoubtedly cost significantly more. Also, the only feature it’s missing from the non-existing Apple’s version is Siri.

I bought this speaker to bring on the boat with us. The battery life is amazing and I cannot rave about the waterproof feature. We accidentally left it outside clipped to the boat lift from sept through March in a snowy upstate -NY area. Found it in the spring and it started right up and connected. Still works perfectly. Didn’t even charge it first! Amazing quality. Would 100% buy it again
