I’m almost done testing all of the features, I’m just now testing the battery and the usb input… I was going to give it a 4 star because of the bass BUT, as I continue to listen to my friend’s DJ Mix on USB this is nearly shaking up the house. The speaker is in our game room with one French door open and I’m up in our dining area, a good 30+ feet away and it sounds really good!
Yes, the source of your music makes a big difference. I tested the Aux inputs with a Singtrix Karaoke system with music playing from a computer and a Panasonic CD/MP3 player with bass boost… Guess which one sounded best? The CD player with bass boost sounded awesome with this speaker system… The bass rocked the house!
This also has TWO remotes! The physical one that comes with it and the virtual one you get with a Samsung app in your phone. I’m not sure if it’s the speaker’s fault but the old Singtrix karaoke system sounded tinny. I had to turn it off & on and it sounded much better…
The only thing that I found which might be a glitch and possibly the reason why Verdi is selling this as refurbished is that when you want more bass by pressing bass on the remote or on the unit, it “switches” off and then on to the bass or less bass mode… The music continues but it’s no big deal. If the seller/refurbisher is reading this, perhaps we can get a response about this possible “glitch.”
I will mainly be using this for Karaoke & PA and in outdoor parties. My current DJ system requires a Peavey amp, 2 Pioneer CD/MP3 players and a VocoPro KJ video/karaoke mixer in a coffin playing with 2 Bose 802 speakers. I can bring this Samsung speaker system in smaller, up to mid sized venues!
BTW, the microphone input has echo and if you have a good voice you don’t need the microphone from a karaoke system that may soften & repeats/echo your voice…
I’ll update this review as I use this more. Correct me if I’m wrong but the other reason aside from the AMAZING price from this seller is the 90 day warranty listed in the descriptions of this product. I hope it didn’t change and… does that mean I can return it before 90 days or is it only good for 30 days? We can probably get an answer for this question too.
Anyways, this is a keeper… take it from a DJ in the 70s & 80s in Chicago Bars & parties. This one may not have as much bass as the comparable JBL & other speakers but for less than $200, this is a steal AND a keeper if this last for at least 7+ or more years!!! Get the extended warranty and you will still save hundred$ with this 210 Watts speaker!
BTW, the light show and it’s variations are really good too, compared to the circular ones with other comparable speakers sold here… I’ve shopped around here and saw & heard other brands in CostCo, Best Buy, & Walmart… you can’t beat this price from Verdi, the performance & value you will get from this product!
