I bought my JBL Pulse 4 refurbished, and I'm glad I did! It arrived in just a few short days (the seller used Fedex, so it was easy to track) in its original box and included its manual. Had I not known I bought a refurbished one, I wouldn't have been able to tell.

I already had one Pulse 4 and liked it so much that I got this one to use for PartyBoost. It paired easily with the my other speaker and with my friends' JBL speakers with PartyBoost. It was great having surround sound with using PartyBoost with having 5 speakers connected, and when it got dark my JBL Pulse 4 speakers stole the show with their light show displays.

Individually, the speaker sounds great and offers nice 360 degree sound. The bass is good for the type of speaker it is.

The battery life stated on the box says up to 12 hours, but that is only probably reached with the light display turned off. The longest I've used it so far was about 7 or 8 hours, and I had the light display turned off for about the first 3 hours of use for that session. There was still battery life left, but it was time to pack up the party.

I’ve always counted on JBL for good quality, and this is speaker is no exception. After my several years older model, JBL, Bluetooth speaker started losing battery life I thought I would upgrade to something newer and larger. My teenage son loves music and especially rap. This speaker delivered great sound quality inside and outside. The light show is very nice and added bonus. The phone app allows for some fun customization, but is not necessary. I would definitely recommend the speaker.

Awesome speaker with great light display! Bought a few refurbished and they were perfect. Great option instead of hanging led lights in teen bedroom, battery life is super long too! Very clear easy instructions to connect to phone- works across my yard. Took to the beach without a worry and even used to help guide the way on the walk home after sunset..got a few complements on the light show that accompanied the country music playlist! perfect gift for college, high school or even younger child!

I bought a pair of these, refurbished. I link them together out on my deck or when kayaking with friends (so far). With kayaking, one on different 'yaks, that's when you notice the separation interfering with the signal. I would expect greater range that what I've seen, but ultimately that's not a deal breaker for me. My primary usage is on my backyard deck or at a campsite, where they don't move around or apart from each other. Most of the time getting them to work in sync goes off without a hitch and continues working no issues. Sometime though, it can be a trick to get them to sync up, and at time they experience where the sound cuts in and out for brief periods of time. Over all I'm satisfied and happy with my purchase. I strongly recommend getting the silicone sleeves for these, as otherwise they are difficult to handle and work with. I should mention, I connect to one speaker via Bluetooth, and for the second speaker I don't have a connection set up in order to prevent my phone from automatically connecting to it. Then the phone Bluetooth's to the "primary" speaker and I use the buttons on the speakers to connect them together. What doesn't work for me at least, is using my Note 20 Ultra, which can Bluetooth to two devices, to connect to both speakers that way. And while I have the app on my phone, I never use it other than to rename the speakers or push an update to them. One last comment, JBL has changed the technology at least three times now, that they use to link their speakers together. If you have friend who have JBL and plan on linking with them, check into what technology their speakers have first and be sure you get something with the same tech - or it will not work.
