I previously owned a JBL Partybox 710 and I wanted to upgrade to the JBL Partybox 1000 and it was definitely worth it. It is a louder, nicer looking and better sounding speaker than the Partybox 710. However after owning both speakers they are both incredible themselves, especially for the price. To sum everything up the the 1000 is the better version of the 710 but both are worth the price and excellent speakers.

So this thing is the ultimate speaker. True it costs 1k+. If you have the extra 1k laying around, buy it. You will not regret it. This is the most awesome speaker you will ever own. It is freaking beautiful. You will cry tears of joy when you open it. That is if your neighbors don't see the Amazon driver drop it off and steal it before you can get to it. The LEDs are like a freaking fireworks show. The sound quality is amazing. You will listen to your favorite song in the world and you will hear it like it is a brand new song you've never heard before. You will listent to Don't Fear the Reaper and you will 100% get cowbell fever. Because who knew that cowbell was actually in there before the SNL skit? But you can hear it as clear as day with this speaker. Chris Cornell's voice sounds like a chorus of angels when coming out of this speaker. I swear to you. This will be the last speaker you will ever have to buy. On the downside it weighs more than your car. But its still worth it.

This is a loud Bluetooth. The sound quality is really good. Shakes the house and delivers. Worth the purchase I’m happy with it. The drum pad is a not needed but that just my take. Kind of think that space could be used for a screen so you can see what ls be played if you plug in a memory usb stick. Other than that it’s a amazing all around speaker ????

wow, what a trip..... first, new models get dropped to 999....... then refurb for 799......today, 1 day later, i see the 1000 unit at 699 renewed....... amazon prices are dynamic and change often....do yourself a favor and keep checking in..... when i ordered the 699 unit, the website switched the price back to 799..... but i still got it for 699........ that is my review, wait until the price dropps to 699....... as far as renewed goes, these units either work or they don't...... whether new ort refurbished you are taking a risk..... and they are soooo complicated under the hood..... the 310 has 10 separete circuit boards!!!!! the 1000 has that cool 16 button midi launchpad ....... very cool tech :).
