First, shout out to The Country Butler for excellent customer service! I needed help with a minor issue and he gave it his all to help me solve it. Second, this tool is awesome for sanding tight areas. It will save you time!!

The stick on sand paper is a bad idea. Hook and loop would be better. Its also readily available. Hopefully the will come up with an add on to allow hook and loop.

I can’t find adhesive sandpaper pads for this product anywhere. It seems like it was a waist of money.

This could be so much better. I purchased mine at a big box store and wanted to give a review of this sander to help others in making a decision on whether to get this or not. I have a finishing sander, oscillating sander and random orbital sander and needed something that would sand in tight corners and small areas. There's not a whole lot to choose from out there but the price on this Ryobi wasn't bad so I got it. What I like is it is able to get in real small and tight corners without any problems. What I don't like is it's fairly loud for its size. Also I've had some positive and negative issues with the sanding sheets. One time the sheet stayed on until I went to remove it and the second time it started peeling off immediately after applying it to the sander. Don't know why the designers didn't use hook and loop like you find on other sanders. I didn't have any issues finding sanding sheets like others had. As far as the sanding, it gets the job done. If the sheet will stay in place it works great. I had a wooden handle that I had glued to a sliding door and it left some fragments on the door. I didn't want to sand any more of the area than I had to. It took only 5 minutes to sand old glue and broken off wooden slithers.
All in all i could put up with the negative issues due to the convenience it offers in being able to get into places my other sanders can't.

I debated on what type of a sander to purchase or if I needed one. i do not have alot of strength to handle a large sander. Needed for my puppy chewing on my table leg and wasn't happy after filling the wood with putty and trying to sand the leg by hand. When I used the Ryobi I had no problem with the sand paper coming off while in use and don't understand why the other two reviewers did. As a matter of fact you actually have to pry the sandpaper off to change it its so sticky to the foam pad on the sander. First time using the sander and I was quite impressed. The table leg looks a whole lot better using this sander versus doing the sanding by hand.

I have some small areas that needed to be sanded prior to painting. This machine is awesome! It fits in my hand and does the job. Only drawback is; I am unable to quickly find the sanding sheets for it. Still looking.
